There are a lot of time skips ✌🏼
Namjoon POV
"Look at him. He's beautiful, Minnie." I sigh, smiling at the back of Kim Seokjin's head.
"Joon, you're so whipped. It's gross." Jimin scoffs. "Just go talk to the guy."
"I can't just talk to him, I'm not cool enough for that! He's so pretty, and I'm just....me." I pout. "It's not fair."
"Mr. Park and Mr. Kim, less taking more working." Our teacher scolds us. I smile sheepishly and look back down to my textbook.
"Seriously though, just talk to him." Jimin mumbles under his breath.
"Fine, maybe I will." I huff. When class finally ends I pack my things and head toward Seokjin's seat. He turns to look at me, his head tilting in confusion.
"Yes?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Are you a parking ticket? Cause you've got fine written all over you." I immediately cover my mouth with my hand and run out of the room. Jimin runs after me, laughing loudly.
"Y-You used a corny pickup line, I can't!" He wheezes.
"I just fucking embarrassed myself, oh my god Chim." I run a hand down my face.
"Nah, He was smiling and laughing about it. His ears were kinda red too." Jimin chuckles. "That was honestly so amusing."
"Shut up, it was embarrassing!" I frown.
*The Next Day*
I continue to stare at Seokjin. He's just one seat ahead of me today, giving me a perfect view of his wide shoulders.
"Gonna embarrass yourself again today?" Jimin snickers.
"Shut up, Jimin." I grumble. I take out a sticky note from my folder and start to write something down.
'Aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living?'
I stand up and walk over to the pencil sharpener, placing the note on his desk as I pass. His face heats up as he reads the note, a small smile on his face.
Jimin jumps onto my back when we leave the room. "What did you write on the note?"
"A-Another pickup line." I blush. "He liked it though!"
"You two would be cute together." He comments. "Keep it up with the pickup lines, and I'm sure you'll score a date."
*A Week Later*
I've been giving Seokjin notes with pickup lines on them for about a week now, and he seems to like them a lot. I've decided to ask him out today though, instead of using a pickup line.
'Would you like to hang out with me sometime? Movie date at my place or something?'
I hesitantly tap on his shoulder, my blush deepening when he turns in my direction. With shaky hands, I pass him the note and smile slightly. He takes a moment to read it over and smiles, grabbing his pen to reply.
'I'd love to. Are you free tonight?'
I nod lightly as a response and smile. He turns to face the board again before we get into trouble.
After class, Seokjin stops me before I leave the room. "Hey. Um....I thought that your notes were kinda cute, and I'd love to hang out with you tonight."
"O-Oh." I smile sheepishly. "Is my place okay? We could watch movies or something. Sorry, I know I'm awkward."
"It's cute." He grins. "Tonight is great, Namjoon. After school, I'll meet you at the gate?"
"Y-Yeah, of course." My eyes widen.
"Cool. See you then, Joon." He kisses my forehead before leaving the room. I just stand there in shock until the teacher scolds me for being late.
*After School*
"You seem confident in your notes, but you're so shy Namjoon." Seokjin chuckles as we walk down the street to my house.
"Y-Yeah....I'm kinda awkward." I smile shyly. "The whole pickup line thing was a total accident at first, but Jimin said you smiled at it. So I wanted to continue."
"You're so cute." He grins. "You know, I've admired you for a while. I know it sounds weird, but since the beginning of the year I just couldn't keep my eyes off of you."
I blush and quickly try to unlock the door. My shaking hands aren't cooperating with me, so I drop the keys onto the ground multiple times.
"Here." Seokjin places his hands over mine and helps me unlock the door. "Better?"
"Th-Thanks." I mumble. I lead him into the small house, cringing a bit at the mess. "I'm sorry about....this. Sometimes I write and throw the papers everywhere, I swear it's normally clean."
"Relax, it's okay." He smiles. "So....what movie are we watching?"
"I thought I'd let you decide. Doesn't matter to me." I grab a few snacks and drinks from the kitchen.
"Hmm. Alright, then." He grabs my remote and switches a movie on.
I sit beside him on the couch and pout. "A horror film? I haven't watched one of these in ages."
"This one is pretty good. One of my favorites." Seokjin comments. "I prefer this version of IT more than the newer one if I'm being honest."
"I've never watched any of them. I'm not a fan of horror movies." I smile nervously.
"I'm here to protect you." He winks. "Come here."
He pulls me into his arms and wraps his arms around my body, situating himself so we're lying down. I'm on top of him, my head pressed to his chest. "That's better."
I avoid his eyes out of nervousness and start the movie. Over halfway through the movie, my face is buried in Seokjin's chest. "Oh god, I can't watch. I can't, hyung why would you make me do this?"
"It's not that scary Joonie~!" He coos. "You'll be fine, I'm here to protect you. I'll be your night in shining armor."
"A knight?" I lift my head and smile teasingly. "I thought you'd be a prince."
"Nah baby, you're the prince in this relationship." He chuckles. I blush at his words, and drop my head back down onto his chest
"Relationship?" I mumble.
"Well....yeah. If you'd like to go on a second date, of course." He smiles sheepishly.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'd like that a lot." I respond.
