Namjoon POV
I frown at my boyfriend as he walks around the house getting ready. He seems upset about something, but I don't know what it is. Seokjin keeps to himself a lot, and rarely opens up to people. He definitely trusts me, but there's this one secret that he's keeping.
"Where are you going?" I ask. He just shrugs, avoiding eye contact.
"On a drive. I'll be back in about an hour." He mumbles.
"Babe....are you alright?" I tilt my head, my eyes filled with worry.
"Mhm. I just....need time to think." He says. I wait a few minutes, before throwing my shoes on and following him. Obviously I stay a few cars back, so it isn't too suspicious.
I park down the road, and begin my walk toward his car. A cemetery? Why is he at a cemetery? I quickly walk up behind him, and listen to him speak to one of the graves.
"I-It's been 10 years now, Appa." He sniffles. My eyes widen in shock. He never cries. "I haven't visited you in....years. I'm sorry."
He chokes back a sob, and rests his head on his knees. "I w-wanted to tell you something. I-I met th-this boy. His name is Namjoon. I....I want to marry him, Appa. I want him to remain by my side f-for the rest of my life. I wish I could've told you that I was.....gay, before you died. I regret not telling you, I really do. I'm sorry. So sorry."
He sits there and cries for 2 minutes, before I decide to take a seat beside him. "I think he'd be proud of you." I whisper. Seokjin snaps his head in my direction, trying to hide his tears.
"Stop." I mumble, taking his face in my hands. "Don't push your emotions down. Just....let it out, hyung."
His body shakes as he holds back his cries. "Seokjin, babe. Don't hold it in." I whisper.
He breaks down, allowing himself to cry. I pull him into my arms, rubbing his back soothingly as he sobs into my neck. "I d-didn't t-tell him, Joonie-ah! I was s-so scared, a-and I didn't get th-the chance to tell h-him b-before he passed away!"
"I know, baby." I coo, holding his body close to mine. He's taller and has more muscle, so it's a bit difficult to completely wrap my arms around him. "He'd be so proud of you. You have your own business, your own house, and.....you're happy. I think he'd be perfectly happy, with that."
"Y-You think s-so?" He hiccups, keeping his face buried in my neck.
"I do." I gently stroke his hair. "He'd be so proud of you, sweetheart. And I think he's happy that someone's taking care of you."
"W-What is he's mad at me, for keeping m-my sexuality a secret?" He sniffles.
"Jin, baby he wouldn't be mad. It wasn't your fault that you couldn't tell him. It's no one's fault." I say. "But I bet he's so happy for you. When you're a parent, your child's happiness is all that matters. And with the way you were talking....he was a good parent."
"He was." Seokjin remixes his head from my neck, and wipes his eyes. "I'm-"
"Don't you apologize for anything. There's nothing to apologize for." I smile softly. "Babe, you didn't have to keep this from me. It's understandable, but please don't keep any secrets from me. I want to be there for you, whenever you need me."
"I love you so much, baby. You're so sweet." He smiles, a small tear rolling down his cheek.
"No more crying, alright?" I kiss his cheek. "I love you too, babe. And believe me, I'll be here for you whenever you want to talk."
"Okay." He grins. "Can we....go back home? So I can tell you everything?"
"Of course." I say. "Oh, did you mean what you said? About.....wanting to marry me?"
"Definitely!" He exclaims. "Baby, I can't imagine a life without you. And like you said....I think my Appa would be happy for me. I'm sure he would've loved to meet you."
"You're so perfect." I grin. "Okay, lets head home. You can tell me all about your Appa, and what he was like."
