Callie's POV
I stumble back a bit, bumping into people. "Sorry" I murmur to them.
"Callie? Are you alright?" Brandon asks concerned.
I look back at where I saw Liam and he's gone. "Yeah" I whisper. "I just thought I saw someone but it must have been my imagination. I'm going to walk around a bit"
"I'll come with you" he says walking towards me.
"No. I want to be alone" I say firmly.
I begin walking to where I thought I saw Liam. When I get there, it's towards the back of the festival and there aren't many people around. I take one last look around but stop when I see a small yellow paper on the ground and begin to read it:
"Meet me at our spot if you want Jude back"

I begin running out of the festival, trying to figure out the fastest way to the beach, "our place". Liam and I would go there a lot when we were foster siblings. It's where we became friends, where we had our first kiss, where he would hit me and leave me with bruises, and where he-.
I shiver at the thought of reminding myself the terrible things he did to me.
"Callie!" I hear behind me.
"Brandon" I say annoyed, "I need to be alone"
"Wherever you're going, I can drive you. It would be much faster than walking." He says trying help. "Where are you going anyways? And what's in your hand?" He asks referring to the yellow note.
I sigh, handing over the note. Brandon takes it and reads it, looking up with a horrified look. "Who wrote this?! Where is your spot?! Why haven't you called the police or my mom yet?!"
I cringe when he says "my mom". He must have noticed and he quickly corrects himself "our mom" he says finally.
"His name is Liam. Our spot is on the beach. And I don't want them involved. If he knew the police were coming, he might do something to Jude. Now I have to go!" I say turning and running towards the beach.
He grabs my arm "I'm driving you and I'm coming with you" he says firmly.
We run to the car we came in, Brandon grabs his set of extra keys from his pocket and we head to the beach.
