Callie's POV:

When we reach the restaurant that we decided to meet at, everyone quickly gets out of the car, except Jude.

"Hey Jude. Are you ready?"

He slowly nods and begins unbuckling his seat belt.

When we walk into the restaurant, I immediately spot Donald sitting at a
booth.

When he sees us, he bolts up and walks over to us, "Callie, Jude, hi" he says trying to smile. We smile back, fake of course, and he surprisingly pulls us into a hug.

I look down at my feet while he begins talking to Stef and Lena "and you must be Stef and Lena I presume" he says holding his hand out to shake it. "And who is this?" He asks turning to Brandon.

"This is my foster brother" I speak up, letting him know that I'm apart of their family.

Donald holds out his hand for Brandon to shake and he politely does so. "Shall we sit?" He asks.

Once seated at the booth, moms get right down to business, "so this paper is for you to sign, allowing us to adopt Callie and Jude" Stef says firmly.

He looks down at the paper and then at us, "you know, I never meant for your mother to get killed."

I feel tears stinging in my eyes and I look at Jude. He's quietly sitting there, looking like he wants to say something, but doesn't.

"I wanted to see you guys while I was...away, but I was a mess. I didn't want you to see me like that"

"Yeah well so were we!" Jude shouts, "Six foster homes does not exactly make us miss you. It just makes us think about how anything could be better than going back and living with you, even getting abused by our foster parents and siblings!" I shudder at the thought of what he's talking about, Liam. "And even if what you are saying is true, it doesn't make up for the six months that you have been out of jail and didn't even try to contact us! Well I actually want to thank you for that, because if you hadn't been such an awful father, then Callie and I would never have met our real family, the Fosters."

A small smile comes across my face. Knowing that Jude has been keeping that bottled up for so long and watching him stand up for us makes me so proud of him.

I look around the table and everyone's jaw had dropped.

"Would you please just sign the papers" Stef says, pushing them forward.

"I can, but it would only get you half of what you want" Donald replies awkwardly.

"What are you talking about?" Lena asks.

Donald sighs before finally saying, "I'm not Callie's birth father."
