Callie's POV:

After a long, awkward car ride home, Brandon and I finally pull into the driveway.

Before we dropped Wyatt off, it was so silent that you could hear a pin drop. But afterwards, Brandon just turned on the radio, loud, and didn't say a word.

"Thanks for picking me up" I say when he parks the car.

When he doesn't say anything I get out and begin walking to the door.

"Alright I get that you're annoyed with me for having to pick up me and Wyatt in the middle of the day, but the least you could do is talk to me. I'm sorry, okay?"

Still no reply.

"Whatever" I say marching right up to the door.

"Callie, wait"

I turn around and Brandon comes and joins me on the doorstep.

"I don't think you should be dating Wyatt. Or seeing him for that matter" he says.

"Why?" I ask confused and annoyed.

"He's a bad guy. He skipped school and did drugs and got drunk all the time and I don't think you should be around that"

"Did. You said he 'did' that stuff. Doesn't mean he's doing it now." I say defensively.

"He also used to kind-of-date Talya"

"Kind of?" I ask.

"She said they hooked up but he wasn't looking for anything more"

"He told me he liked me and I believe him. He also doesn't like Talya so clearly something else happened that she didn't tell you."

"Callie, I have no reason to lie to you!" He says desperately.

"Well clearly something's up because you seem to really hate Wyatt."

"I'm just saying, you should be careful"

"Why do you even care?" I ask annoyed.

When he doesn't respond, I roll by eyes and open the door.

Suddenly, Brandon comes from behind and pulls its shut again and we are both still outside.

"Callie-" he pauses, "I don't want you dating him because I don't want you dating anyone else"
