"No late sleepers, Girl. Get up!"

With no warning, Casey was pulled out of bed by her collar of her shirt.

"Hey!"

Despite the protests, she was dragged away from her sleeping bag, and across the Glade.

"Get, off, of me!"

When her attempts won no avail, she did the only thing she could think of.

"NEWT!"

Much to her surprise, the boy ran across the Glade from the Homestead, and up to her and her captive.

"LET HER GO, GALLY!"

She had never seen Newt like this before.

He looked like he had just got out of bed, and his glare was enough to kill you.

"Gally, let her go, or it's to the Slammer for you." His voice now deadly serious and calm.

Gally dropped her, and cracked his knuckles.

Newt didn't seem phazed by Gally's attempt to seem scary.

He walked up to her,"Are you okay?"

She nodded.

Then he walked over to Gally.

Silence.

And he punched him.

She was shocked.

His voice ran through her head.

Never harm another Glader.

He had told her that the first day's tour.

And yet here he was, harming another Glader.

For  her.

"Hey! Newt! I'm okay, Newt!"

He didn't hear her. Or he did, and didn't care.

Casey went to stand up, and Gally broke away from his fight with Newt.

Uh oh.

Like a flash, his fist hit her face.

And Newt flipped.
