Elegy For The River

I've wanted to write
An elegy for the river
That ran dry at the bank
Of the ocean it tried reaching
And another that was discovered
Just above the seafloor
Snaking along the bed
Of the ocean it creeped into
A layer of dense water
Visible to the surfer
But silently flowing underwater
Of the ocean he surfed on
It never fully meets the ocean
But embrace the difference
And forms halocline in the water
Of the ocean it wants to stay in
It's not sad anymore
So I shouldn't lament
For I don't know the depth
Of the ocean the river entered
