The Old Tree

Let all leaves fall but remain the branch
Autumn is yet to leave and so is winter
For long can not fall keep the spring away

Await the hour when summer sun melts
The snow off the roof and witness thyself
The old tree trunk melt season after season

Let it resolve if the hurt is major or the anger
Still remains the mark of the fallen afresh
Fall after fall, buds form but none can recover

A fight of right or delight of the bright
Who decides about the cursed fate
The old fellow and the sapling share

Winds blows north to west and south to east
But no rain falls to water the wilted flowers
The water has it's course that winds don't change
