~Avery's P.O.V~
I walk out of the restaurant and stride towards my car. Looking behind I see all of them talking among themselves and groan, "Hurry up guys!"
"I'm coming with you, Aves!" Rachel exclaims excitedly and runs to my car.
"Ok, so I'm going to go with Bennett," Maya says with an excited smile hearing that, Sebastian lets out a groan.
"Sorry Maya, but Bennett and I have some personal guy stuff to do, you know. So, you will have to go with Avery," he says apologetically.

"Mom am home!" I shout as I close the door behind me. I have dropped Sarah and Maya at school so that they can collect Sarah's car, so, I'm a bit late to home than expected.
Walking into the living room I drop face-first on the couch and groan into the pillow.
"That's such a mood," mom says as she sits on the armchair beside the couch.
"So, you wanted to talk," I say into the pillow.
"Yes, I just wanted to tell you that I have a conference in Washington DC with surgeons all over the country, tomorrow. So, I have to leave tonight and I'll be back on next Wednesday," she says and ruffles my hair.
"And your father will also be leaving for a business tour tomorrow morning," she says and I can feel a smile make its way on my face. It's very rare that both of them will be out of town so I have the whole house for myself.
"So, I will be alone?" I ask excitedly sitting up on the couch.
"Don't be excited missy, I'm leaving you in care of Rebecca and Varsha," she says with an amused smile referring to Sebastian's mom and Riya's mom.
And just like that my dream of being alone goes down the drain.
"So, at what time you'll be leaving?" I get up from the couch and walk into the kitchen to make myself some coffee.
"Probably after dinner so maybe at 9," she says unsure.
"Okay!" I pour coffee in my cup and walk back to the couch and take out my phone and scroll aimlessly through Instagram.

Currently, it's 11 pm and mom left an hour ago. I'm in my room sitting and watching whatever YouTube algorithm is throwing at me 'cause homework is overrated anyways.
*Knock knock*
"Yes?" I shout to whoever is knocking on my door.
The door opens and dad walks in wearing his pajamas and settles himself on my bed and I pause the video of a youtuber testing out some weird lifehacks to listen to him.
"How are you, kiddo?" he says as he leans forward and ruffles my hair.
"Am good," I reply and look around the room awkwardly.
Why the heck is this so awkward?
"So, I'm leaving tomorrow," he says looking down.
"I know," I say nodding my head.
"You do? Oh, Chelsie must have told you," he says nodding to himself.
"Yes, but your business trip just ended, why again?" I ask sadly biting my lips.
