I leave my house and decide not to take my car. The weather is pleasant today and since I woke up early, I walk my way to school.

As I am closing the door of my house, I see Sebastian's door open and before I can see him and make my day unlucky like yesterday, I take off running.

As I come to the end of my lane, I stop running and start walking, observing my surroundings. I really love nature, it's so beautiful and we can learn so much from it.

I observe a hibiscus flower in one of the house's gardens every fortnight. I see that the flower dances with the wind, smile with the sun and blooms to its fullest but, as the evening approaches, it starts wilting. And the next morning, it withers completely and by evening, it falls and becomes one with earth again.

This flower teaches us that however short life may be, we must live it to the fullest and in full splendor.

Girl, you have to go to school, how long are you going to stare at the flower?

"Blast! I am again late for school!" I exclaim checking my wristwatch.

Yes, you are, who told you to become a philosopher at this time?

Now I realized just how much late I am to school. I wasted 10 minutes; therefore, I start speed walking but not like those athletes in Olympics, I'll look odd.

I reach school, panting heavily, I stop for a second to control my breathing and enter the school's busy corridors. Fortunately, I'm not late.

As I walk in direction of my locker, I see both Sarah and Maya talking near Maya's locker. Sarah's back is towards me, I stroll towards them.

Unaware of my presence they continue talking.

"- I know right, she is such fool-" Maya stops talking and her gaze fell on me. Her eyes widened fear.

"A-avery you here?" she stutters, listening to this Sarah turned around nervously. A nervous smile on her lips. Both of them share a nervous glance then turn back towards me and wait for me to break the silence.

"Hi! Guys, I want to tell you something," I say finally breaking the awkward silence.

"What are you waiting for, say it," Sarah says going back to her chirpy behavior.

I look at my watch and realize that there are only two minutes for the bell, "Umm, no I will tell you during lunch," I say smiling and then make my way towards my first lecture.

I enter my first lecture which is again history. I go and saunter on my usual seat and plop myself on the seat. Sebastian is already seated behind me as yesterday but before he can speak, Mrs. Bhatt enters into the class.

And I zone out throughout the lecture.

Right now, it's lunch break and I am sitting in the cafeteria. Since I share all my classes with Sebastian, unfortunately, I tried my best to ignore him. Because if I start listening to him once, I'm sure I'll end up with a detention again.

Our table is situated in the middle of the cafeteria. I take a seat and wait for Sarah and Maya to join me so I can tell them about Sebastian.

I see Riya walking to her table, I wave at her and smile. She too waves back.

I keep my eyes glued to the entrance of the cafeteria, humming a random song. Sarah and Maya enter, laughing and giggling like they usually do. Sarah sees me sitting and smiles widely.

They again start whispering something to Maya. I don't even know what they are always giggling and whispering about. 

"So, Avery, you were going to say something, right?" Maya asks sitting in front of me and Sarah next to her.

"Yes, I was going to say-" I start but get cut off.

"Sweetheart! I missed you!" Sebastian shouts entering the cafeteria.

I groan and ignore him and again start speaking.

"So, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted-" I start again, but I am once again cut off.

"Sweetheart, are you ignoring me? I thought we were past that phase yesterday night," he says smirking and wiggling his eyebrows and plops beside me.

Sarah and Maya gasp, understanding his words in a wrong way. I mentally facepalm. And then I notice that today he is not alone, he is with a girl and a boy. Both the boy and girl have black hair and blue eyes and have similar features. The boy is very handsome.

"Where are my manners, I a-" he says but this time I cut him off.

"Duh, you don't have one," I say stating the fact.

"Says who?" he asks and continues. "As you already know, I am Sebastian," he says giving a dazzling smile to Sarah and Maya.

I look at them gawking at him and the other guy.

"I-I am Sarah and this is Maya," Sarah stutters which I have never seen her do. In fact, they are the confident ones and I... it depends upon the situation.

"Avery, this is Bennett and Rachel, Bennett and Rachel this is Avery," Sebastian introduces us.

"They are my cousins and you would have known them this morning, if you haven't taken off running when you saw me," Sebastian says smirking.

Blast how did he know?

Well, you are not exactly secretive...

"Umm... I have to go to the library with Riya, we had decided to go there during lunch," I say quickly coming up with an excuse to get away from Sebastian.

"Avery but weren't you gonna say something?" Sarah asks looking confused, I inwardly curse at her but keep a smile on my face.

"No, it's okay we will talk afterwards when we are alone" I put emphasis on we to give her a clue when Sebastian and his cousins aren't around.

I turn around and see that Riya is still eating I inwardly groan, she better be ready to go.

I call out to Riya.

"Riya you finished with your lunch?" I ask nodding my head slightly and widening my eyes to give her a clue.

She better agree with me.

"Yeah, am done. Let's go to library, shall we?" She says getting my signal.

"Yes, I am coming," I say and turn towards my table, wave at my friends and hurriedly take my bag and leave.

"So why are we going to library now? We decided to go during the free lecture, right?" She asks curiously.

"Nothing just wanted to get out of there. By the way, you are a lifesaver. Thank you," I say hugging her tightly.

"No worries. I have always got your back," she says and winks at me.
