~"Mommm!!" I scream at the top of my lungs. I hear her running fast from downstairs then I sense her climbing the steps really fast and my bedroom door bursts open.
"What happened Avery? Are you ok?" My mom says panics and looks frantically around the room.
I pop my head out of the closet and smile innocently. "Mom what should I wear tonight?" and the reply is a glare.
Wait y'all must be confused as to what's happening, so let me tell you...
~
I say my goodbyes to Sebastian, Bennett and Rachel, walking to my front door. I turn towards their house to see them go inside and then I open my door."Mom, I am home!" I exclaim immediately closing the door.
"Avery, go and sit in the living room. I have to tell you something," she answers popping her head out of the kitchen.
"Ok!" I walk into the living room and sit on the couch and turn on the T.V.
"Avery, I told you to sit not to turn on the T.V. switch it off now!" Mom says entering the living room.
I turn it off. Looks like she isn't in a good mood.
"Listen carefully, this evening Mrs Williams has invited us for dinner. You can wear whatever you want, I am trusting you with it," she says her tone soft as usual.
"Ok-"
"SURPRISE!!" A very familiar voice shouts making both me and mom jump off the couch.
"DAD!!" I stand up and run towards him and hug him really tight.
"Sweetie, I-I cant-t breath," he says making me loosen up my hug. I give him a small kiss on the cheek and go up to my room to give my parents some space to catch up.
~
And here I am trying to find a perfect dress for dinner."Avery, don't do that, I got so worried you know?" She says slightly annoyed.
"You need something to wear?" Mom asks smiling.
"Yeah, all I own are jeans and I know that you don't want me to show up in them, so I need help."
Mom smiles slyly and I can see the wheels turning in her head.
"You go and take a shower, there will be clothes ready for you," she says and turns to leave my room.
That definitely sounds suspicious but I go and take a warm shower.
I walk out of the bathroom and see a box on my bed, I go and sit on my bed and hurriedly open the box.
Chill, are you trying to rip the box?
And in the box lay a beautiful outfit.
I take the dress out of the box and walk in front of my mirror and gasp at the beauty of the dress. It is a short dress which is black above the waist with a high neck and long sleeves and the skirt has red and black checks that ends just above my knees. It also has a black leather belt. It looks simple and cute.
