Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognise.
Two days have passed since the last chapter. They were basically spent sparring, getting teased, flirting...etc...you get it.
"Cassian! Az! Mor! Amren! Lyria!" Rhysand called up the stairs and soon the sitting room was filled with the Court. Casteel walked in.
"Why didn't you call for me?"
"I assumed you were with Lyria," Lyria trailed in after him, "Ah, I was right." Rhysand shared a look with Feyre and she smiled.
"They are so cute."
"Huh?" Lyria asked, looking at Casteel for some explanation and he rolled his eyes, the usual.
She grinned. Of course.
You don't look too annoyed at the fact that they think we are in a relationship, love. Are you rethinking my earlier offer? He raised an eyebrow. Lyria narrowed her eyes.
As far as I can remember you suggested sex, not a relationship.
I'm up for either. Lyria couldn't help smiling as he waggled his eyebrows at her. A loud gasp echoed through the room.
"THEY'RE COMMUNICATING SILENTLY! THEY'RE DOING THE ANNOYING FEYRE AND RHYS THING WHERE NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND ANYTHING! THE SECRET LANGUAGE!" Cassian yelled excitedly and Lyria tilted her head in confusion. Mor and Feyre whipped their heads round to the pair.
"Awwwww." Mor squealed and Lyria blinked.
"Am I missing something? Don't you all speak together silently? The first time I met you, you communicated together silently too." There was a beat.
"She has a point."
"Oh shut up, Rhys. You know it's not the same." Cassian insisted.
"Don't be jealous that you can't communicate silently with anyone, Cas." Rhys retorted, Cassian huffed and opened his mouth argue.
"What did you need to tell us, Rhys?" Azriel cut in, stopping an argument breaking out.
"Ah right, thank you. Due to the urgency of the problem, the High Lords have all already responded and we are going to meet in the Day Court this afternoon."
"THIS AFTERNOON?" Mor screamed, jumping up.
"Uh yes?"
"Why didn't you say that straight away, I need to get ready! What do I wear?"
"It's just a High Lord meeting, Aunt Mor."
"That's where you're wrong, Rhys junior. Guess who lives at the Day Court..." Mor glared at Cassian and he winked.
"No." Feyre breathed turning to Mor who grinned and nodded. Lyria put her hand up.
"I'm confused."
"There's a certain female at the Day Court that Mor has taken a fancy to." Cassian teased the blonde female.
"She doesn't even know who I am!" Mor cried dramatically as she flopped back onto the couch.
"Then introduce yourself." Lyria said.
"It's not that eassssyyyyyyyyyyy..."
"What's her name?"
"Vera." Mor gushed and the Court laughed.
"Damn, you are head over heels for this woman." Mor smiled giddily.
"She's just so amazing!" Lyria grinned.
"I'm sure she is." Mor shot up again.
"Where was I? Oh right picking out a dress! BYE!" She sprinted out the room.
"Meet downstairs in about three hours then."
"Oh and Cassian, you're not allowed to wear your flying leathers." Feyre added on to Rhys' statement.
"Really? Why?" Cassian whined but the married couple had winnowed out. Casteel turned to Lyria.
"Do you want my help slipping into something tight?"
"No, but do you want my help?" She flirted without thinking. Oh shit. Oh no, she didn't think that through well at all.
A slow smirk spread across Casteel's face. Cassian let out a small squeak of anticipation as his eyes flickered from Casteel and Lyria.
"In that case-"
"Fuck off." Lyria rolled her eyes, regretting her statement. Casteel chuckled and winnowed out.
"Oh. My. Gods. I ship it sooooo hard." Cassian gushed and Azriel pulled him out of the room. Lyria laughed and started out the door.
"Girl." Amren called and Lyria stopped and turned to the woman.
"Here." Amren held out a ruby amulet.
"Um thank you..." Lyria said slowly as she took the necklace, confused. Amren rolled her eyes.
"I have been hunting for a way back into my world for hundreds of years, I came across this a while back in my search." Lyria froze. Was she saying-?
"Don't get too excited girl, it's a communication device. As far as I know it has three uses. I've already used one, however the gateway to my world is blocked so it didn't work. However, if you were able to come into our world, it means that the door ways between the worlds are still open."
"You mean I can talk to my family?"
"Yes, but only twice and the communication doesn't last long. You can figure out a plan to get back there." Lyria beamed and stepped forward to hug Amren but faltered at the unimpressed look on the smaller woman's face.
"No hugs, noted." Amren's face softened slightly.
"I know what it feels like to be away from home. I'll try my best to get you back to your family safely, Lyria."
"Thank you." Lyria said, clutching the amulet to her chest as if it were the most precious thing in the world.
