Surprise!

Y/n's POV:

It was June 8, one more day until the school year was finally over. I was just reading a random book when all of a sudden Ms. Grenada runs through the vault "Children!" She exclaims. We all look at her in confusion. "We're going back to school!" All of the kids instantly groan at the fact that they still have to go to school. "No, I don't mean that. You guys are going back to public school again!"

As Ms. Grenada was still standing there, smiling, we all just stared at her in confusion. "So, come on!" She exclaimed again. "Let's go on the bus." We all looked at each other in confusion once again, but finally got up and walked with Ms. Grenada. We all walk to the bus as I sit next to A Capella. "Why do you think we're going back there?" She questions, but I just shrug. I was still confused but was a little bit more happier than before, since I already knew that the "bad guy" was arrested.

The bus comes to a sudden stop. "Come on kids." She says. We all come up from our seats and start to enter the school. Next to the office, I instantly see a poster advertising a school dance. A school dance? I nudge A Capella's arm and she turns around. "A school dance!" She exclaims. "Yep, a school dance." I say back. I took a deep breath and sighed. I didn't really like school dances that much. I'm not really that type of girl that's like, "OH MY GOD! I LOVE DRESSES! AHHHH! I LOVE DRESSES!" Yea, fancy isn't really my style.

"Guys, we can go together!" Fast Forward implies. "Oh yea, that would be great!" A Capella agreed. "What about you y/n?" I start to stutter a bit. "Oh I- um...yes?" They start to jump up and down jubilantly. "What, what's happening?" I ask. "You agreed to go to the school dance with us!" A Capella stated, but as she spoke, my eyes started to widen. WHAT?! A SCHOOL DANCE! A FREAKING SCHOOL DANCE! WHAT THE FREAK ARE WE GONNA DO! DANCE?! I FREAKING SUCK AT DANCING!

"No no no. I- never agreed to this." I say. "But you just did?" Fast Forward asks. Missy suddenly goes over to us and joins the conversation. "Oh great." I mumble. "What's up guys?" she asks. "Look!" Fast forward instantly points at the poster that read, "School Dance! $5 dollars a ticket! Tell your friends! Starts at 8 pm on June 9th." Missy quickly gasps. "Oh know, you like school dances?" I ask her.

"Well, I haven't been to one before." She says. "Me neither." A Capella and Fast Forward state in unison. "But I think it would be fun, to go with each other." They all start to go over to a wall not so far from the office. They started to whisper to each other, but I couldn't really hear. I saw them whispering and laughing. I wanted to join the conversation to be involved with my friends, but at the same time I wanted to stay over by myself.

They suddenly stop whispering to each other and start walking towards me once again. "Ok, we've decided that we should all go together, but...it's your choice to go with us as well." Fast Forward states. They were all staring at me, eyeing me down for my answer. "I um...I-" I suddenly get cut off by a flashback.

~Flashback~

-3rd Grade, Halloween Dance/Party-

"I- I'm... I'm sorry!" I yell. The floor was covered in ice. Children were running, really fast. "I'm sorry! I can't control my powers yet!" "AHHH!" A child screams. "She burnt my chicken nuggets!" A woman suddenly comes up to me. "Dear," she said, as she crouched down, "I need you to come with me."

She had a really pretty dress on, but I wasn't really sure that was her costume. She also had a name tag on her, as it read,

"Grenada."

~Flashback ends~

"What's your answer y/n?" Missy asks me. I wondered if it would've been better for me to go or not. I mean, even though that painful experience kind of traumatized me, I would still do it for my friends. "Fine." I said. "I'll go with you guys." They instantly started to smile and hugged me straight away. "Yes! This is gonna be the best dance ever!" Missy exclaimed. I started to smile with them as we held in a group hug.

A\N: sorry for not updating in time, I literally have so much homework. there's like one or two more chapters until this book is done, but I just wanted to say thank you for all the support. I never could've imagined that I would have about 6000 READS!! Honestly I'm so grateful for each one of yall and I'm really glad I joined this community that I could just express my ideas for different types of books and stories. Yall honestly just make my day by just reading the freaking comments. Some of yall are real funny, but anyways, thank you so much. I'll be posting another chapter tmr :)
