I took in the new and unfamiliar surroundings. I bit my lips as I looked around, looking for the way to class. I asked a few people for directions as the new school was really big. I finally found my class and entered it. There were already some people inside and I smiled sheepishly as I made my way to an empty seat.

The lecturer entered and introduced herself as Mdm Ko. She looked like she was in her 50s. Her long hair was tied into a neat bun and she wore a black knee-length dress with a red wool jacket. Her heels were of brown leather.

I listened on closely considering it was the first lecture of the start of school. I was rather excited and enthusiastic. I was finally able to focus on my interest field. Goodbye Maths and hello to Science! Mathematics would not be of much weightage here since I was majoring in Sciences.

The lecturer introduced us to a few things about the topic we were learning. Time passed by quickly that I didn't realise that two hours had passed. She gave us a 15 minutes break and told everyone to be back in class before 15 minutes was up.

I got up and headed for the toilet. After I freshened up, I took my phone out to check for notifications. I saw 2 new messages and read it.

From Hoya:
Hey, how is it so far? Any juicy stories?? :D

From Minji:
Gurl.. How is your lecture so far? I feel like sleeping already

I smiled to myself as I typed in a reply to both messages.

To Hoya:
Nothing much yet. We're learning about the Circulatory System! XD

To Minji:
Awww. Slap yourself to wake up! Its only the first day man!

I headed back for the class and continued to listen intently on the lesson afterwards.

Days turned into months. Everyday was the same routine for me. Wake up, get breakfast, attend lectures, do assignments and then home. There were exceptions where I would go out with my friends; newfound as well long-time ones.

My favourite place to go to was the library after lectures were over. I could read some books where I could escape the sometimes suffocating reality. But most of the time, I try to do my projects and assignments. The library is the best place ever, to me at least!
