America,
It was a new morning and the shukla apartment was surprisingly quite and calm.

The only noise was Navya fretting around to find all her stuff and rush to school. Yug was still asleep and Vivaan just calmly sat looking at his sister flipping out.

It was Sports day in their school, yug was too young to take part in any of it while Vivaan wasnt a big fan of sports.

"Annie, mera breakfast!" she screamed.

"Di annie is not home, woh NGO gayi hai." Vivaan said softly.

"Oh okay. Di I am sorry, annie cant come to your sports day and dad toh... Has surgeries lined up." he said genuinely upset for his sister.

"Toh tu kyu sorry bol raha hai pagal?" she just smiled.

"Jab aap jeetohe toh vaha koi nahi hoga na... You know Vivaan, I have stopped expecting these little things from him long back. I think I got a little matured before age about these things. I don't really expect him to come to these events and all, unko meri school kaha hai aur mai kya padhti hu ye pata hai, vahi badi baat hai. He loves us and I know it.
Anyway! I am so pumped up for my sports event. I am so winning the relay!" she changed the topic swiftly.

"Blah blah di, itne chote event ke liye itniii excited kyu hai?"

"Oh hello? Wait and watch, medal muh pe phekungi tere. Dad will be proud!" she raised her collar.

"Di decide karle, medal laana kiske liye hai? Vivaan bhai, you or dad?" Yug said entering suddenly with his puffed up morning face.

"Shut up chota packet." she slapped his head and walked out for the event.

Navya was the sports captain of her class and so damn active.

All the girls including Navya got ready for the 500 m race.
All the girls were looking at their family for support while Navya tried to concentrate on the game.

Soon the race started, Navya was a fast sprinter. She ran with grace and shocked everyone when she was a winner, no doubt!

At the end of the day Navya had won 3 medals, two gold and one bronze. She was called up the stage as she was also the sports head of her batch.

"Congratulations Navya darling! How proud must your parents be..." her teacher patted her head and she smiled graciously.

"Yeah very, only if my mother remembers me." she mustered under her breath and walked out.

Navya was walking outside the school with her best friend Eva, chit chatting about anything and everything.

Suddenly a bike came speeding very fast and knocked them back which eventually led to a fall.

Navya and Eva fell very hard beside a rock.

Eva mom Kimberly came running towards them,
"Eva darling are you okay? Is it hurting? Did you get hit somewhere baby?" Kimberly as a worried mother asked and hugged her child due to fear.

"And.. Oh Navya dear are you ok?" Kimberly asked when she realized.

"Uh... Ya, yes auntie I am fine." Navya said hiding her tears.
