Hee-soon heaved a heavy sigh before going out of her room. She is silently praying that In-youp already left. She peeks through her door and when she did not see In-youp, she immediately walked to her shoe rack and wore her shoes. She is in the middle of tying her shoelaces when she felt someone knelt in front of her and placed his hand on her forehead.
"You're still a little hot. Are you sure you can work today? Can't you call in sick?" He asked and her heart beats faster again with his sweet gestures. She immediately stood up even though she is not yet done tying her shoelaces.
"I'm fine. I made sure to bring all the medicine I need. I need to go now," she said and hurriedly walked to the door but In-youp stopped her. He once again knelt in front of her and finished tying her shoelaces.
Why do you have to be like this? Why do you always make my heart flutter? Hee-soon asked in her mind as she stared at In-youp. In-youp stood up and looked at her.
"About last night," In-youp started.
Before he could finish what he is about to say, Hee-soon immediately spoke. "Please forget about it," she said looking at his eyes. The pain she feels right now is unbearable which made her eyes water. She smiled at him even though she's hurting. "I was not feeling well last night which caused me to blurt out random things. I would appreciate it if you will not think about what I've said last night."
She grabbed her bag she placed on the shoe rack while she was tying her shoelaces earlier. "I need to go now." She said and walked out of the door. In-youp just stared at the door now closed, hoping they could have a serious conversation about what happened last night.
Before Hee-soon went inside her new department, she shook her head to erase all thoughts she has since she left her apartment. She doesn't want to bring her problem to the office. She has to act professionally and just focus on her work. Mina immediately greeted her as soon as she sat on her swivel chair. Hee-soon is always early but she had never beaten Mina when it comes to attendance.
"Why did you already go to work? Are you sure you are okay now?" Mina stood up and walked towards her station. "Here," she handed Hee-soon a packet of something which looks like a powdered drink. "My mother always gives me that drink whenever I am not feeling well and it works for me every time. Just dissolve it in hot water."
Hee-soon looks up at her, touched at how worried Mina is at her. She accepted the packet and thanked Mina. "I'll make sure to drink this after I eat my lunch." She said and gave her warmest smile. Mina went back to her station and made herself busy again with what she is doing on her desktop. Hee-soon also turned her desktop on to start her work. She looks at Ji-hoon's office and wonders if the guy has already arrived. She's hesitating whether she'll ask him as to how he knew In-youp. She doesn't want to cause any issues which will make In-youp's career at risk.
She was thinking about In-youp when her phone made a sound indicating that she received a message. Her heart immediately beat faster when she saw from whom the message was from.
Let's talk after your work. I'll wait for you in your apartment.
"Is that message from your friend?" Hee-soon's phone almost fell from her grip when she heard Ji-hoon's voice. She immediately locked the screen of her phone and placed it inside her bag. Both she and Mina stood up to bow at him.
"Good morning, Mr. Lee. You're early today," Mina cheerfully greeted their supervisor who just arrived. Ji-hoon greeted Mina as well with a smile which is always visible on his face. He smiles at everyone in the office and maybe that is the reason why everyone in this department is enthusiastic when it comes to their job.
