~Getting Ready~

Keith's POV
When Lance and I got back to the castle, the team plus Allura and Coran greeted us in the flight bay. When we descended the ramp from Blue with smiles on our faces, the team cheered and clapped for us while a stream of "Congratulations!" and "I'm happy for you guys!" greeted us as we descended as well.

Once we finally touched down on the floor we were stormed with hugs and smiles. When the group hug broke apart, Shiro asked, "So, can we see the ring Keith?"

I blushed a little and showed the team my left hand that had been recently decorated with the beautiful ring. Their was a small gasp that erupted from Shiro, "Its beautiful Keith! I gotta say, it makes your dainty hands look even smaller!" Shiro ended with a small chuckle.

I have him the most unimpressed look I could give with the amount of happiness I was filled with right now and said, "Wow. Thanks Shiro."

Shiro just chuckled and patted my back softly and I couldn't help but smile too.

I looked down as I felt two little arms wrap around my thigh and saw Enzi's little face look up at me. I bent down as far as I could and picked her up. "Hi daddy, how was your day with papa?"

I smiled at her kindness, "It was great princess, me and papa should definitely take you there sometime." Her eyes light up with excitement, "Really?! Was it really pretty? Was there any animals there? I've never seen any animals before." She said, her excitement dwindling into curiosity.

"No, I don't think there was any animals there, but it was very peaceful." I smiled at her. She pouted a bit but returned to her usual happy smile when I shower her my ring. "It's so pretty daddy!"

"Yeah it sure is, I'm not quite sure how papa was able to afford it though." I said shooting Lance a confused look.

"Don't worry about it." He chuckled.

"How about we go have some dinner, I have an idea of how to make the good goo taste better for the occasion!" Hunk suggested cheerfully.

"That sounds like a good idea, the baby is getting hungry again." I said, putting Enzi down and rubbing my swollen belly lovingly.

We all sat at the table, Hunk rushing to the kitchen to start cooking. Pidge was doing something techy on her modified computer, and Lance, Shiro, Allura, Coran and I we all having a little bit of small talk around the table until Pidge spoke up from her concentrated tapping of her computer.

"Ok, uh guys, so you know how the galra have been very inactive and we haven't gotten a single distress signal since we figured out Keith was pregnant?" We all nodded, worried.

"Well it turns out that we STILL haven't gotten anything, and I'm almost positive the galra are planning something. I mean, why would the galra stop trying everything they can to get Keith, or just trying to get us out of the way in general?" She looked concerned, scared even.

That thought never even had come to mind. Lance hadn't been on a mission since the beginning of my pregnancy. "What are we going to do if the galra do suddenly attack?" I asked, wrapping one of my arms protectively around my middle out of instinct.

"Then all of us need to get out there to protect the castle if need be, Keith, the baby, and Enzi will all be on the castle, so we need to keep the castle protected at all costs." Lance spoke up, scooting his chair over a bit and laying a large hand next to mine on my baby bump and rubbing it lovingly.

"I agree with Lance, if a galra fleet comes to the castle, we are going to need all of the lions in action. Allura, you've piloted Blue before, so you can take Blue, and Lance can take Red." Shiro explained.
