Uncle Shiro

Third POV

Keith lay in the infirmary freshly showered and clean, resting in the bed while Lance held Andrèo in his arms and Enzi in his lap, rocking them both slowly as the two children fell asleep. The team, who Lance had ditched in their lion's hangers, had changed, showered and had chatted a little bit while they gave some time to the new little family on the castle ship to be alone for the time being.

As the three walked up to the door, they heard shifting around and baby squeaks before being quieted down by a new parent. The three paladins opened the door revealing a sleeping parent and a  proud parent sitting on the bed holding their children lovingly.

Lance looked up as he heard the door close happy smiles plastered on their faces. "Hey guys," Lance greeted softly, as to not wake the sleeping boy in his arms.

"Hey Lance, how is Keith?" Shiro asked politely.

"He's okay, catching up on sleep at the moment." Lance gestured to his fiancè.

Shiro hummed in acknowledgement and turns his attention to the new baby in Lance's arms.

"So who's this little guy?" Hunk cooed at the newborn.

"This is Andrèo Emiliano McClain. Our newest addition to the family!" Lance announced proudly.

Although, Andrèo woke up to his father's noisy announcement and started crying loudly.

"Ah shit.." Lance cursed under his breath, trying to calm down the shrieking newborn before he woke up his sister and other father.

But, of course, the baby's shrill cries woke up the remaining members of the small family after he would not stop crying.

"Babe, he wants you." Lance helplessly told a groggy Keith as he sat up.

Lance passed Keith the small bundle and Keith started to coo at the baby, calming him effectively.

"Mm, a Mama's boy." Lance pouted as he took a sleepy Enzi into his lap and started to stroke her hair.

"What?" Keith asked, "I'm a man, thanks." He added sassily.

"No no no, I didn't mean it like that, its just a mother is the one that usually gives bir-" Lance started. He was quickly interrupted by a tired, annoyed, and half asleep Keith.

"I don' care. I'm stil' a man." Keith slurred clearly falling back asleep.

Lance sighed. He turned back to the rest of the team and spoke quietly, "Well, not the greatest of introductions, but we'll make up for it tomorrow."

Hunk leaned in to see the baby's face better and whispered, "He's a really cute baby though."

Pidge leaned in to get a good view of the baby aswell, "Wow, can't believe you guys made that. Too cute." Pidge ended with a smirk.

Lance gawked at her, "Excuse me Pidgeon, but I'll have you know that this is the best looking baby you have ever seen because, obviously, he's mine and Keith's." He quietly scolded her.

Pidge just smirked. "Mhmm sure Lance."

Lance pouted and turned the other way, refusing to look at her.

"Congratulations Lance, you'll make a great father." Shiro congradulated Lance. He smiled in return, "Thanks Shiro."

They smiled at each other for a second, then Lance suddenly asked, "So Shiro, how does it feel to be an uncle?"

Shiro's smile faltered a little as he pondered the thought. Then he looked back up at Lance with a proud smile, "Like the happiest brother in the world."

If Lance looked close enough, he could see Shiro's eyes mist over.

"Alright buddy, we'll leave you guys to get some rest." Hunk said as he waved goodbye.

The rest if the paladins shuffled out, each if them bidding the new parents goodbye.

Once the paladins left, Lance gently scooted Keith and Andréo over, making room for him and Enzi on the bed. Once his head hit the pillow, and his arms wound around his little family, Lance was out cold.
