I made this for my unpublished Young Justice fanfiction, Flamebird, while playing around in PicsArt.

First, I made a cut out of an image I found of Young!Kara Zor-El I found on Pinterest, went to "FX," and applied the "comic" effect.

Then I opened a new edit and selected the image I found of Metropolis on Google Images. I went to "FX" and set it to "comic." I then hit "FX" again and selected "pastel." I moved the slides around like so:

Lines — 20
Brightness — 50
Contrast — 35
Fade — 40

I hit the checkmark.

Next, I went to "sticker" and selected my Klara cutout. I made it bigger and moved it toward the left. Then I hit the blank space below the image and selected "Callout" and "Evening." I typed out "I miss Krypton." in all caps, set the background to black, the font to "Short Stack," the opacity to 80, and moved it where I wanted it. I repeated that for "I miss it every day."

Back to "sticker," I searched "comic" and selected the "pow" sticker, "blend," and set it to "darken." I went to "saturation" and moved the amount to -50. I repeated that process for the "bam" sticker.

I went to "text" and added my username, set it to "Short Stack," moved the opacity to 80, and put it where I wanted it.

I selected "Callout" again, and the "Hello!" that goes from coral to pink to yellow, tapped the box and cleared it, set the "blend" to "overlay," the opacity to 50, and made it big enough to cover the image like a filter.

I played around with it until I didn't think it looked like complete crap. Ended up moving the "pow" and "bam" opacities to — 70, I think it was.

And that's the best I've ever done at playing with PicsArt! (I kind of hate it. I'll never like anything I've edited on my phone.)

I — a young woman who was born and raised in the United States and only speaks English (and what I've learned of Spanish, French, and Latin on Duolingo) — had to look up, in the process of making this edit, the difference between "every day" and "everyday." If you're wondering, the former means "each day" and the latter is an adjective meaning average.
