Telling Lane

I ran into the Slytherin common room once Theo let me in. I finally get to talk to Lane about Bini. I am going to act like an actual teenage girl for a change. She was doing her homework quietly on the couch in the oddly empty common room. I ran and jumped next to her.

"I have been meaning to talk to..." I saw tears dripping down her cheeks and onto her parchment. "Sweetie what happened?" I put my arms out that she quickly fell into. "Do I need to hex someone?" Theo sat down on the coffee table trying to figure out what was going on as well.

"I tried to talk to Draco today and it didn't go well." She sat back up leaning into the couch fiddling with my hand. She had gathered herself together but more tears were fighting through.

"What happened?" Theo asked.

"I asked him why he hadn't talked to me about it still and then somehow we started screaming at each other and then he left to go to quidditch practice."

"What did he say?" I asked trying to understand.

"He started asking why I cared and then went into this long talk how I make him feel weird and I drive him nuts." She wasn't confused about what he said one bit she understood what he was trying to say. So did I but I am not sure she knows how she feels.

"What did you tell him?"

"I told him I was confused. He didn't really give me time to speak before he left."

"I'm sorry. Do we need to pummel him?" I asked glancing at Theo who seemed very ready to do what I suggested.

"No I will do it myself if needed." We all chuckled. "Don't say anything to him Theo or I swear to god I will pummel you instead."

"I promise I wont." He put his hands up in surrender.

"Good." She said scolding him. "How was your guys' classes?"

"Stupid." Theo answered. "You want to know what I was thinking about in transfiguration today?"

"What Theo?" I asked with a short giggle.

"So here me out. What if McGonagall has a cat that looks exactly like her? and it just walks around and everyone thinks its her but really its just her cat but someone enchants it once in a while so everyone thinks its her."

"That is a very smart conspiracy theory. Did you come up with that all on your own?" Lane asked.

"Do you believe anyone else could actually think of that?" I asked.

"Fair point. Got anything else Theo."

"I think Dumbledore is gay." We all began laughing.

"I think everyone thinks that Theo." I said.

"Yes but no one talks about it." He moved to the chair with his feet still laid on the table.

The portrait swung open and I watched Lane tense up at the thought that it might be Draco. We were both relieved when we realized that it wasn't Draco but Mr. Bini. His normal smirk turned into a soft smile when he realized I was in the room.

I could tell he just finished practice. Is uniform was messy and he was still breathing a little heavy. I found him way to attractive in his uniform. I chewed my nails trying to avoid my red cheeks. He quickly noticed me blushing and made his way behind the couch leaning his head down next to my ear.

"Like what you see Ace?" He asked his lips grazing over my ear sending shivers down my spine.

"Careful Bini you don't want people to start thinking that you like me." I said turning to him so only he could hear.
