Trigger warning- panic attack
Harley's POV
I ran to the closest bathroom as fast as I could. Tears were streaming down my face and I needed to get myself under control. I could feel the heat radiating off my body and my heart rate continued to increase.
I'm OK. I need to breathe. Just breathe.
Why does this keep happening? It needs to stop. I'm so stupid. Why did I allow this to happen?
"Fuck." I hit my hands on the cold floor. "Breathe." I took a deep breath but I could barely find the air in order to.
"Harley?" I heard a soft voice come from the door as it closed. I couldn't tell who it was until she walked into the light.
"Hi Luna." My voice cracked.
"Are you OK?" She sat down next to me setting her hand on my shoulder. I shook my head trying to find air again. "Harley look at me OK." I tried met her gaze and allowed her to hold both of my shoulders.
"Follow me OK." I nodded. "Breathe in." She took a long breath in. "Hold. Let it out." I tried to follow her pattern. "You try. I'll count. Breathe in 1... 2... 3... and breathe out 1... 2... 3..." I continued her breathing and my heart rate slowly went back to normal.
"Thank you." I said wiping the tears away.
"Are you OK?"
"Just a panic attack. Nothing new."
"Why don't we get you up to your common room? I'll bring you to Ginny." I smiled softly with a nod. That's exactly what I needed.
She helped me up and didn't say anything about what just happened as we made our way to my common room. I said the password and allowed her to walk in before me. There wasn't many people in the common room. Many of them went to Hogsmeade early.
Luna knocked on Ginnys door. Ginny opened it confused as to what happened but didn't say anything when I walked in and lied down on her bed. Both Luna and Ginny followed making themselves comfortable in the small bed.
"Want to tell me what happened?" Ginny asked moving my hair away from my face.
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Want me to ask Lane to come up here too."
"Sure." She quickly left Luna and I. It didn't take long before they both were back in the room.
"Harley what happened?" Land asked sitting on the opposite side of me than Ginny.
"She doesn't want to talk about it."Ginny said.
