Harley's POV

My eyes fluttered open to find an unknown room. At first I had forgotten that I was at the mansion. I threw the blanket off shivering once the cold air hit my bare legs. I walked to the window looking outside. As much as I hated it here. It was still gorgeous.

It looked over the woods where a small stream made its way through it. looking from 3 stories up made it seem so much bigger. I could see for forever making it all the way to the gorgeous mountains. With the snow the sun was shown brightly making it look like a true 'winter wonderland.'

Oh god that was so fucking cheesy. But it is so gorgeous I don't know how else to describe it.

I heard a small knock at the door and quickly ran to see who was there. I opened it to find the house elf Rosa. I love her more than anything and hate how rude my family is to her.

"Good Morning Ms. Vixen." She said softly keeping her head down.

"Good Morning Rosa. Come in." I opened the door wider showing her with my arm that she is welcome. She carefully walked in making sure I was okay with it. "You can sit anywhere you like."

"Oh thank you Ms. Vixen. T-Thank you so much." She sat carefully on a stool that was next to a large white vanity.

"Are you going to help me get ready for the ball?"

"If that is what Ms. Vixen wants, Rosa would be happy to help."

"Of course I want you to help Rosa."

"Thank you Ms. Vixen."

"Rosa you know that I would rather you call me Harley."

"Will do Ms. Harley." I moved some of my stuff around on the vanity hoping that I could find everything I need so I could get ready. "Ms. Harley. I really do want to help but master Bill has asked me to help set up some more things first."

"Oh of course Rosa I was planning on going down to see everyone before. I will walk down with you." I smiled while grabbing her hand helping her off the stool and out of my room.

She followed me down the stairs before we parted ways as she went to the left heading to the ball room and I went to the right hoping to get food first. It never ceased to amaze me how huge and gorgeous this place is but I would still prefer to live in a cottage in the middle of nowhere with people that I love than in this huge mansion that people refer to as a castle. I heard some chatter from the kitchen as I was getting closer but the closer I became the more I realized that it wasn't chatter but arguing.

"Tonight is best to find him. Do you want her marrying someone like one of those weasleys?" My aunt yelled to my father.

One of those weasley's at least they're actually good people who care about me.

"I am not marrying my daughter off when she is 16 years old." My dad spat back.

"Do not talk to your sister like that." My great uncle bill said scolding my father.

"You don't get to tell me how I talk to my sister. You are not my father. He died 9 years ago you don't get to take over his job. Not only that but I am a father and I am not going to let my sister think that she can sell my daughter like she's a fucking pygmy puff." Ive never heard my dad stick up for me like that.

"Dont bring my brother into this. I am your uncle you listen to me son and in case you forgot I control the will so I can take everything away from you." The argument became more heated with every word.

"I'm fine with working for everything I have at least people don't see me as someone who had everything handed to them and is a complete dick."

"I work my ass off son so watch your words."
