"Good Morning Beth." I greeted Lanes mom happily as I walked down the stairs for breakfast.
"Good morning Darling. Hungry?"
"I think you know the answer to that." I chuckled.
"What was I thinking your always hungry. I'm making pancakes they will be ready soon. Is Lane still asleep?"
"You know your daughter. If it's not passed 10 she's not getting up."
"Sounds like her." We both filled the small comforting kitchen with our laughter.
"Do you need help with anything?"
"No I'm okay darling. But I would love to hear everything from school. I heard you and Mr. Zabini are together." She giggled slightly as if she was still a teenage girl.
"Yes we have been together for over a month I believe."
"Does he treat you well?"
"Better than anyone that I've been around."
"I'm happy. So I don't have to hex this boy?"
"No i'd prefer if you don't. I like him a lot. I miss him though."
"I'm sure. It's only been 2 weeks but I get it darling. You probably don't get to spend to much time at school being in different houses and apparently keeping your relationship a secret." She smirked at me while I giggled. "But still being separate for a couple weeks sucks."
"I'm starting to tell people slowly I just don't want to deal with people being all up in my business or his."
"That's understandable. I think I kept Lanes father a secret for 3 months before we were supposed to get married before I told my mom. Which maybe I should have taken as a sign that I shouldn't have a kid with him. But that was also a different type of situation. I like Blaise and I hope you stick with him."
"I hope he sticks with me." I laughed
"He would be an idiot if he didn't." I love my mom more than anything I mean she's my mom, but my family doesn't talk about personal lives and it makes me happy that Beth is my second mom and cares about me. She also knows more about me than my own parents. "Okay pancakes are ready. I hate for you to get tackled but can you go wake my daughter?"
"I'm used to it. I just poke her with a stick to make sure I keep a distance."
"Smart." She put her finger to her head saying that it was a good way to use my head. I ran up the stairs while crashing through Lanes room and jumping onto her bed.
"Get up your mom made pancakes!" I yelled excitedly as she tried to move.
"Bitch." She mumbled while hitting me with a pillow.
"Whore."
"Slut."
"Ass."
"Dick."
"Your just mad mines bigger than yours."
"Definitely not."
"Bet." I laughed. "Now get your ass up we have breakfast."
"Fine." She groaned while throwing all her bedding at me before slumping to her dresser to put sweats on.
"I bet I can eat more than you." I laughed while running out of her room.
"Nah I have been practicing since the first day of Christmas break, I will." She laughed while following me. "Good Morning mom."
"Morning sweetie. Pancakes?"
