Blaise's POV

I left my dormitory by 5:30 this morning hoping to write a letter to my mother in peace. I stepped outside as the sun just started to come up leaving a golden glow throughout the school. The air was cold as I walked but the sun was warm against my skin. I pulled my jacket tighter around my torso while making the steps up to the owlery.

Most of the owls were flying around making noises hoping for someone to give them a treat. I smiled at a few of them that were playing on the ground. I have always loved owls they're such interesting creatures.

I pulled a piece of parchment out of my jacket along with my quill. I sat down on a bench setting the parchment in front of me. I thought writing a letter to my mom would be easy. I just have to tell her whats going on. But I honestly wasn't sure what was exactly happening.

Dear Mother,

It's been a while since I have talked to you I am sorry for answering later than I should have. School has been going just fine. I have all O's and I have been playing well in quidditch. There isn't anything new for you to know I guess. Draco didn't know I was supposed to be staying with them over break. He knows now and i thought I would let you know that both Snape and Draco know I am getting it so I am guessing all of the Malfoy's do as well. I know we are a ways away but i was wondering if you will stop by the manner while I am there? I need to know so I can make plans. I am hoping the Malfoy's will let me have some days out that way Theo doesn't become suspicious.

-Your son, Blaise

I re-read the letter and then folded it handing it to an owl. I watched him fly swiftly in the air towards the sun. The sun had almost come completely up now, I felt at peace just staring at it. I heard small steps walk into the owlery and I turned around quickly.

"Sorry." The girl said softly stepping into the light. I recognized her bright red hair and found that it was the only Weasley girl.

"No worries." I said monotone. "Ginny right?" She smiled kindly while setting two pieces of parchment down, one already with words written the other completely blank.

"Correct and your Blaise."

"Correct. Don't let me bother you. I am leaving now."

"Your weren't gonna bother me. I'm just writing a letter to my mum." I didn't know what to say so I gave her a half smile before making my way down the steps.

"Wait Ginny! I have to write something else to your brothers." I heard a familiar voice and not long after she almost ran into me.

"Watch it princess. Don't need anyone falling." I smirked at her as she took a step away from me to give us both room to walk.

"Sorry Bini couldn't see you." She giggled before continuing up the steps. It was weird that she didn't say anymore or mention last night.

I walked into the almost empty dining hall. It was still pretty early most students were still in there dormitories. I walked down the Slytherin table taking a seat across from Draco. Neither of us spoke words to each other just random glances. I couldn't tell if he was annoyed or upset about the situation.

I heard more students coming in and turned my head to find Theo, Lane, Ace and Ginny. They all seemed to weirdly get along. I know Ace, Theo and Lane do but both Lane and Theo, like most Slytherin's, don't interact with Gryffindor's and its the same way around. Ace looked over the table and we both locked eyes for a second and her reaction to me was not what I expected. It wasn't her normal smirk or cockiness. It was like she knew to much about me now.

Fear flowed through me what if she knows. She isn't a dumb girl she might've figured it out. I turned my head away quickly finishing my pumpkin juice. What if she tells Theo or Lane? What if she tells Ginny or worse Potter? Theo and Lane sat next to me and I immediately sat up and left the hall. I had to fix this. I'm not even one yet and I am messing up the situation. If she knows someone might try to hurt her or me.
