Percy's POV:

Preparing the birds for dinner was easy, if it weren't for the fact that I was teaching the Hephaestus Cabin, and Annabeth how to do it. For me preparing wild game for cooking has always came natural to me, because what's the point in hunting if you don't know how to use your prey to maximum efficiency.

Anyways, the beaks were all in a pile and some of the Hephaestus kids stopped preparing the birds in favor of forging the beaks into more usable bars of celestial bronze. Clarisse wisely kept the Aphrodite kids away from seeing the birds being prepared and cooked, afraid that seeing the whole thing would make them loose their appetite, as it is a messy and bloody process.

LINE BREAK

We finally got done with the last of the birds and the nymphs came and took them all away to begin cooking them. Ironically, Dionysus just got back as we were finishing cleaning up the feathers. Well it wasn't as much cleaning, more so just giving them to the Apollo kids to see if they wanted any of the feathers for arrows.

"well Perseus, you owe me" Dionysus said

"and why is that" I asked

"well my father wasn't to happy with the second death of Tantalus, and I got you out of punishment for that, though come to think of your mom probably would have done the same" He explained and for once I was shocked, he was actually proactively doing something for once.

"Who are you and what did you do with the real Mr.D, as he would never proactively do something, with out a return" I questioned, which would have made the god chuckle, if it weren't for the other campers around.

"Avoiding the risk of your mom's wrath is even enough to get the most stubborn of rocks to move" Mr. D said

"now it makes sense. Welcome back Mr. D" I said

"yes welcome back to my torture. Only a few questions, where are the birds and anything to report on boarder patrol"

"Clarisse is in charge of boarder patrol right now, and the birds, you'll find out later" I said, which only got a sigh from Dionysus

"fine, I'll go check with Clarisse" he said striding off.

I meanwhile went to go find Annabeth, which was quick considering she was beating her siblings with her two combat knives in the arena. I began to have the feeling she enjoyed her time with the hunt, mainly for the training.

"Annabeth are you done teaching your siblings whatever it is you are trying to teach them" I asked

"yeah" she said, to which most of her cabin ran out of the Arena, "you'll be seeing us on boarder patrol tonight" she added once her siblings fled.

"let me guess, you told them they couldn't bring their books with them" I joked,

"yes, yes I did" she responded all too serious for her to be joking.

"Ok then" I said, ignoring the fact that Annabeth practically set up her siblings for torture.

We conversed for a few more minutes, mainly about how Tantalus was a dick, and how he deserved to go back to torment before the horn rang out for dinner. To which Annabeth wanted to race me, and started in her usual way only to win this time, by less than half a second.

"you only won because you started running at three instead of go" I protested

"Dirty play is to be expected" Annabeth  said, in an impersonation of Tantalus, before we left to go sit at our tables before food was served as Dionysus had some announcements to make.

"First off I know you pesky annoyances are extremely disappointed with the loss of our second camp director this year" Mr. D said leaving a pause only for him to get no reaction "Well, anyways, despite my efforts, Lady Artemis's suggestion passed for who is to come and train you and be the new camp director. They'll be here tomorrow, so please be on your best behavior" He finished, only to dismiss us to our food.

After dinner, Annabeth Clarisse, And I went up to Dionysus to suggest the golden fleece quest, to go and retrieve the fleece, to see if it could save camp.

"Oh no you don't cupcake. I won't allow my most favored child I found go after that thing it's lead many satyrs to their death including my father" a satyr interrupted, whom seemed to be talking to Clarisse.

"What do you mean it lured Satyrs to their death coach" Clarisse questioned only for the coach to clam up at Dionysus looking at him

"I suggest you answer her because I can assure you I can inflict worse pain than him" I said, gesturing to Mr. D

"Well my father was searching for pan, and well he told me he thought that pan was in the sea of monsters. And well even if Pan is a god, he wouldn't have been able to hide there for as long as he has been hiding. Thus the next strongest nature magic that would make sense being there is the fleece" the Coach said

"and you didn't tell anyone this" Dionysus said

"Well it's only a hypothesis, and I'm most certainly not going to try and prove it"

"Do you know an entrance to the sea of monsters then" I asked bored at the Satyr who's probably the most violent and fighting capable satyr I met.

"The strait of Charybdis and Scylla is at the midpoint between Bermuda and Miami of the Bermuda triangle" The coach said

We looked at each other as if to say f it. If this our best chance to save camp we might as well give it a try.

"I don't like the look on your face cupcakes" Coach said

"I concur" Dionysus agreed

"you all ain't getting a choice if it happens or not" Clarisse said, and just went straight to the big house, likely to consult the oracle.

"you know maybe we shouldn't have kept her informed" I said

"Wouldn't work as Clarisse cares to much about this place" Coach said

"We should probably head to the campfire before questions begin to raise" Annabeth suggested to which Dionysus quickly agreed leaving the room.

Annabeth and I more patiently walked to the campfire where Dionysus was making another announcements. "Demigods, Clarisse La Rue, the daughter of Ares, has decided to go on a quest for the golden fleece and is currently off getting her prophecy now" Dionysus said, way to keep it subtle uncle.

Many cries of protest and fear rose from the campers saying it was too dangerous or we didn't even know where to start looking. While other just sat quietly hoping that Clarisse would be level headed enough to complete this quest suceesfully.
