Percy's POV:

As soon as we were at the entrance of the strait Clarisse, ordered for full steam ahead, and started helming the boat herself right down the centerline. Peter on the other hand, was trying to use his powers to make a current to push us towards Charybdis, his thinking that his father wouldn't allow his sister to eat him. I wanted to laugh so hard at that, as Poseidon sent a cyclops to kill me when I wasn't even a week old, I was like a day and a half at most. So, I wanting to not be eating and swallowed whole, used my powers discreetly to cancel his out.

Turns out me cancelling out his powers is fairly easy, as I was still able to focus on everything else, so the task was relegated to the back of my head. Thankfully this allowed me to focus on Scylla. I pulled out my spear, just as Clarisse ordered the men to the higher part of the ship and to be more dense, as Annabeth was with her in the bridge and I was on top of the bridge defending it. Not a moment later I summoned lightning to charge my spear with electrical power and to more accurately shoot the lightning.

Yeah I'm really good using my lightning power from Grandpa Zeus to hit myself but anything else is a 50/50 shot, though if I direct it through my spear my accuracy is at nearly 100%. Not perfect because the first few times I missed learning how to do that, and still occasionally do, but it is rare.

After we were in the middle of the straight the engine blew. Now how do I know this , well the rear of the ship is a blaze, and Tyson just went out the side of the ship. Of course this is when everything else starts to go wrong. Clarisse left the helm, as did Annabeth, but they went to two separate life boats, Clarisse went to the side Charybdis was on while Annabeth went to the side Scylla was on.

Well, if you didn't guess I followed Annabeth, and sent multiple discharges of lightning at Scylla, as to...persuade her to not eat us, which worked surprisingly better than I thought it would. While I entered the life boat Annabeth was on, and started to defend it as she lowered us to the water. It was at this time that I saw Peter, hanging from Scylla's mouth, by a book bag strap...dammit fates, why must you torture  me, by floating his death right in front of my eyes, but not bringing it to him.

In a surprisingly smart move by Peter's part he cut the book bag strap, and fell down into the sea, only to naturally rise but be face down and only a foot away from out life boat. Since we were technically in his father's domain, Annabeth and I reluctantly pulled him up into our life boat, as we doubt we would have safe seas if we let him drown.

Once we finished we looked to see that Tyson has somehow managed to get himself hoisted into Clarisse's life boat. On the other hand our ironclad ship was no where to be seen...well that was until the following explosion, and thanks to the proximity of it Annabeth and I were blown down from where we were standing and hit our heads. To which, she blacked out upon doing so, and I...well my vision was blurry but I was still conscious, it just hurt...a lot...just to see light...and the sound of the life boat moving through the water. So what do I do I close my eyes, and ignore my uncle's stupid light right now. I could only hope that Clarisse and Tyson were fine as the blast most certainly knocked both of them over.

Time Skip

I don't know how long I kept my eyes closed but I felt the boat starting to rock as if someone was up. I opened my eyes only to see Annabeth with her spear out and pointing it at Peter, who looked like he was concentrating. I quickly realized he was trying to use the water to his advantage but I put a stop to that with little effort.

"What the hades, Peter" I mumbled rubbing my head

I didn't hear what he said exactly, but it looked like he said, ' oh great he's up now'.

"She's the one with the spear pointed at me" He said, in a normal voice

"Well I would have stabbed you already if we weren't in poseidon's domain and need safe passage" I explained, "anyways does anyone know where in the sea of monster we are" I asked, and they both shook their heads no.

"well then we can only sit in out life boat and pray that the currents are in our favor, and we get to our destinantion" I said

"Well I could" Peter started and I brought out my spear and elecrucuted him to sleep, "you don't know where we are, and the sea of monsters is not even really mapped" I said, sighing out at the end, moving to the stern of the life boat as Peter was at the bow.

I pulled my shirt over my head and soaked with salt water before wrapping it around the top of my head and leaving the excess to hang over my face. "Do you have an extra shirt in you bag" Annabeth asked, probably thinking to do the same as to conserve energy, and keep the body cool.

I reluctantly gave her my bag, as I knew she had extra's in her bag, but she probably only wanted mine due to the larger size, "Thanks" she said as she put my bag in my lap, and doing the same as I did.

"Are you injured from the explosion" I asked

"Not anymore, I took some ambrosia and nectar from my bag when I woke up. You?"

"probably a severe concussion for now, hopefully the moon comes up soon, and I can use that" I said, as I didn't pack any ambrosia or nectar.

"That explains the shirt over the face" she said

"yup, Apollo is being to damn bright for my eyes right now"

"Get some rest I'll be fine for a while" she said and that's all I needed to go and fall into the realm of Hypnos.
