The storm that hit that night was bad. All the girls were freaking out and trying to protect themselves without much luck. Other than Dot who was putting empty cans in the sand to collect the rainwater.

"Please, make it stop!" Martha cried hoping that the storm would stop tossing them around making it cold and wet.

"Come here. I got you." Shelby soothed as she kneeled down next to the girl and putting her small blanket above there heads in hopes of keeping them dry.

Addie could see Toni was as always unhappy with anything happening between Shelby and Martha. Addie nudged her slightly from where they were huddled together to keep warm. The judge made Toni redirect her attention away from the two girls and to the blonde who had her head on her shoulder.

"I used to think thunderstorms were, like, majestic" Leah commented.

"Yeah, thunderstorms were my favourite. But I was inside when I made that decision." Addie nodded along in agreement as another gush of wind blew the girls back.

"That still your take?" Rachel asked angry at there predicament.

"No" both the girls moaned as the thunder boomed again and they were hit with a gust of wind.

"Alright! Come on!" Dot ushered the girls to the uninflated slide. "Everybody, grab an end! Get under!"

The girls all immediately did as they were told happy someone came up with an idea that may protect them from the storm.

"Leah! Come on! Grab an end!" Dot shouted to the girl who was yet to get under. Leah held the end Dot was holding as she got under the slide and Dot walked to the middle between Martha and Fatin.

"How's your ankle?" Dot asked half curious and half trying to distract the girl from the storm.

"Better, I think" Martha responded "it's just...it's so itchy"

"My leg is kind of itchy, too" Leah agreed from next to Shelby.

"Yeah, mine too" Shelby responded nodding along with the two girls either side of them which made everyone else realise their legs were also itchy.

"Shit. Sand fleas" Dot realised and Fatin's face dropped completely.

"Sand what?" Fatin asked sounding livid at the entire idea of sand fleas.

"Sand fleas" Dot repeated before clarifying "well, they're not really, like, fleas. They're more like tiny little shrimp"
