Shelby "One thing I will say about that place is, it was kinda like hitting the pause button. You know, you could step back and get a really good look at your life from all those miles away. Could really help a girl get some perspective, you know, especially is she was feeling a little unsettled in her own skin."

The girls, minus Rachel, Shelby and Martha, were sat lazily in a circle. Addie had her head in Toni's lap who was playing with her hair absentmindedly and her feet in Fatin's lap. The weed gummies had more or less worn off by now. Martha had wandered off still high but the girls didn't worry they figured she would wander back sooner or later. Rachel was still on her own after getting embarrassed by her period and Shelby was off somewhere possibly getting even more drunk.
"Guys! You guys!" Martha came stumbling from the forest. At first, the girls all tensed up in worry hoping nothing had happened to the girl. But when they saw that she was still mostly high, there worry faded slightly. "Guess what I just saw! Holy shit! I just saw Marcus, and he's alive!"
The girls quickly went from slight curiosity of what the high girl saw to complete amusement when they heard the girls final sentence. Dot was the first to start chuckling at what they all thought were a high girl's hallucinations. The others quickly joined in and Addie placed her head back on Toni's lap from when she sat up in worry at the first yell.

By the time Martha was leading the girls to where she 'saw Marcus' Dot was still laughing at the idea of the girl having full-on hallucinations of Marcus being a real person.
"Okay. Wait. Yours just saying that he, like, fucking Pinocchio'd?" Dot chuckled unable to control her laughter.
"Yes. Uh-huh, okay. That's exactly what I'm saying. He - he turned into a real boy." Martha agreed in a manner than let the girls know that she was still high, unlike the others.
The group finally got to the tree that Martha 'saw Marcus' in and stopped to see that Marcus was leaning up against the tree still in his mannequin form.
"I don't I mean he kind of looks the same to me," Toni told the girls as she happily picked the mannequin up and showed him to the other girls making them all laugh, other than Leah, Martha and Addie.
Every so often something would happen on the island that would make Addie agree with Leah's theories. Most of the time she was too scared to tell Leah this afraid she's set the girl off again or make her go dark.
"No, but he was different." Martha moaned trying to get the girls to understand what she saw without much luck.
"Marcus, baby. I missed you," Fatin moaned coming through and picking the mannequin back up before gently kissing the fake abs making Toni, Dot and Addie chuckle slightly at the girl's antics.
