Knocking on the bedroom door, I crack it open and carefully look inside.

"Theo?" I call out, looking at his turned back.

He didn't even acknowledge me, only shaking his head as he started to rant. "I saw the pain, the anguish, that Kate, Tanya, and Irina went through when they had to deal with Sasha's death. They threw themselves into the arms of men, hoping, praying that it would distract them from their loss. They were lucky that the Volturi didn't kill them for their actions..." he spat out, shaking his head as he looked at the ground. "We are throwing ourselves to the enemy... practically inviting them to kill us. I mean... we're all but sending them an invitation."

I bit my lip as I continued to gaze at him. "We're just as much a part of this family as we are a part of the Denali's. I think that we both know that we would do anything in our power to protect Tanya and the rest, what's so different-"

"I made a promise to the Denali's!" He roared. "I made a promise to protect them! To stand beside them! I've already had to lie to them about Nessie! About something that got their mother- that got Sasha killed! I can't just stand around and let them... I can't hurt them any more than I already have. I refuse to."

We both fall silent, the lingering sound of nothing filling the usually lively room. For the first time in a long while, I felt alone.

Theo was obviously coming into the issue with a different viewpoint, as he rightfully should. It is completely within his right to have the feeling that he was having, but where I got lost was where he believed himself to be the only one feeling so jumbled at the recent addition.

"I get it-"

"Do you? Do you really?" Theo hissed, running his hands through his hair as he whipped back around to face me once more. "Do you understand the immense pressure that I'm going through... I have Tanya and Kate messaging me constantly asking for updates on our life... what am I supposed to tell them, huh? 'Oh, sorry, I missed your call. I was busy dealing with Isabella and Edward's child!?' Is that what you want me to tell them?"

"Of course not-"

"Then what? Please enlighten me as to what I should do in this situation since you seem to be so knowledgeable."

"I don't know Theodore!" I shriek, throwing my hands up in the air and staring at him with wide eyes. "I don't know how to tell you to essentially lie to our family. I don't know how to help you get through this because, quite frankly, I'm just as lost as you. You don't see me surrounding Nessie with a big ol' grin on my face, do you? No! I'm just as worried- just as scared as you! I don't know where this will lead us- if it will even lead us anywhere. So don't you think for a minute that I'm not thinking about the Denali's- because if you do, then I don't even know- I don't even know who you would be anymore... the Theo that I know wouldn't ever think that... not for a minute. So whoever the hell has taken over Theo's body, please leave and bring back my wonderful, amazing husband because, quite honestly, I'm sick of hearing you rant and scream about how this is only affecting you!"

We both fell silent, the tension filling the room as we stared at each other.

"I don't know what you want me to do, Theo..." I pause, my gaze falling to the floor as I bite my lip. "I don't know what to do."
