It was around Wednesday afternoon when I decided to take a stroll to the stable alone. I have been walking around the house aimlessly since they left 2 hours ago. David had to go into the city and he brought Kenny along with him.
I was not so okay with the idea of the media seeing David and I around. I was excited that we were back together but I am not so sure I want the world to know about us just yet. David, however, doesnt seem to mind the idea at all.I sighed as I approached the lone horse in the stable. He was chewing on something as I could say he was looking at me.
"Hey" I slowly approached him in hopes of not scaring him or scaring myself in the process.
"Good day Madam" I pulled my arm back as I looked at the older gentleman that appeared from inside the stable. He wore a soft smile on his face as he turned his attention to the horse.
"Good day! I didnt mean to...."
"Oh no! I was the one disturbing you and Jose here. I just wanted to check if he was okay" I watched as he rubbed the horse and fed it an apple.
"Jose? She named him Jose?" I chuckled alittle as I looked at the black horse.
"Well the little lady did say if Jose was a female. She would have called him Asia." He laughed as he continued rubbing the horse. He took another apple from his overall's pocket and fed it to Jose. "Would you like to feed...."
"No, I was just taking a walk around. He looks so peaceful" I took a step back.
The older man laughed alittle. "You cant be afraid of Little Lady's horse. Jose is a gentle..."
"Its okay if she doesn't want to ride the horse" I turned around at the voice to see Sofia approaching us. Sofia had full black hair which was pulled into a neat bun at the back. Today, she wore a black, knee length dress with white collar and classy black heels. "Miss Riley, can I borrow you for a minute?".
I nod before walking back to the house with her in silence. Back on the plane I was not paying Sofia much attention but after David told me that all of his employees know that Kenny is his daughter. I have been feeling abit self-conscious. Wondering if they were silently judging me.
We got to the huge living area where there were a rack of clothes, shoe boxes and another black bag laying on the couch. "Miss Candice sent these over and asked that you pick something to wear to the wedding from here. I got an get the jewelry" Sofia left the room on that note.
I sat on the couch and stared at the rack of clothes. I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair before looking at the black bag on the couch beside me. I zipped it out and there was a purple dress with colorful butterflies all over it.
This dress had to be for Kenny but more importantly, Candice actually wanted me to chose from dresses she sent over. I was in fantasy land for less than two days and here comes reality again.
"Isnt it lovely?" I looked up at Sofia as she carried some black boxes with her. She placed them on the table and opened each of them. Every single one of them was beautiful. I have never seen so many diamonds before. "I can help...."
"You don't have to" I sighed as I covered my eyes and relaxed on the couch. I slowly removed my hand from my face and stared at the chandelier above.
"Do you want me to have everything placed in your room so you can decide there?" Sofia spoke again.
"Have them sent back. I can find my own dress and send the jewelry away too" I closed my eyes.
There was silence and I didnt hear any footsteps retreating. I opened my eyes and looked to see that Sofia was just standing there looking at me. Her hands were still behind her as her brown eyes looked at me.
