"So he told you he was going to make you suffer?" Chief Kang questions Taehyung as he types away on his laptop, getting as much details as he can about the incident.

Taehyung silently nods, his words being left to rot in his throat as he is unable to speak due to the agonizing amount of anxiety kicking in his system.

When the cops showed up at the hotel, it became a chaotic mess of investigators and reporters from the media. Poor Jin had to deal with the press while Taehyung and Jimin hid inside the staff room, with Taehyung fully breaking down and having a massive panic attack due to the situation.

Luckily Jimin was there to help him out of it, and when Chief Kang arrived, he was able to give his statement, telling him what Jungkook said to him.

"Chief Kang, did you find any traces of Namjoon?" Jin asks with desperation in his eyes.

The Chief slowly shakes his head. "We checked the security footage during the night yet we still haven't found anything." He pauses to let out a tired sigh and leans back in his seat, slowly rubbing the bridge of his nose before continuing. "Jungkook knew what he was doing."

Jin's stomach turns inside out, making him feel nauseous and faint. Taehyung notices it and gives up his seat to his brother before he collapses.

"Jin, we are going to find him, I promise you." Chief Kang assures as he opens his bag and hands Jin a bottle of water, Jin silently thankful although it really wouldn't do much to ease his nausea.

"Yeah, and we don't know for sure if Jungkook has taken him or not." Jimin adds, though it does nothing at all to help with the situation.

"Namjoon has his phone on him, perhaps you can track it." Taehyung suggests, although knowing Jungkook, he would have gotten rid of it to avoid being tracked.

"Solar and her team are already working on it." Kang sets his bag on the table and closes his laptop, signaling he was done with the interrogation. "For now, we'll have a squad escort you home. I suggest you all stay indoors unless it's necessary."

"That's it?" Jin jolts to his feet, feeling completely offended that Kang was dismissing them just like that. "Can't you try something else? My boyfriend is missing!" Jin raises his tone at the last part, slamming both hands on the desk in mild anger.

Everyone in the room can feel Jin's frustrations, and as much as Kang feels for him, but Kang doesn't have enough evidence to pin point the crime to Jungkook, even though Taehyung said he saw him.

"Solar and her team are going to work on tracking Namjoon's phone, as well as review the camera footage from tonight. We already got somewhat of a description from Taehyung, although it will be tough to identify Jungkook among the crowd when everyone was wearing a mask"

Just like that, Taehyung feels the walls of his anxiety closing in, slowly suffocating him in his own misery.

Jin wants to argue more about the situation, but he composes himself when he sees how pale Taehyung is becoming. He decides for Taehyung's sake to let it go and allow Kang to work on the case, although he did not agree with having to wait.

"Chief Kang, if you find anything on Namjoon or Jungkook, I mean anything, please let me know." Jin says as he rubs his brother's shoulder to comfort him.

Jimin holds Taehyung's hand and kisses his knuckles, quietly telling him that everything is going to be alright.

"I will Jin." Kang replies with a solemn look in his eyes. As much as he wants to stay positive about the situation, he's been a cop long enough to know that cases like this always end up with one outcome - a tragedy.
