Six Years later...

"Hello Jungkook, how are you feeling today?" The psychologist asks, gleaming a soft smile to the doe eyed brunette.

"I feel great doctor." Jungkook says with a genuine smile.

The psychologist smirks. Of course Jungkook feels great, that's because he's being pardoned today after serving six out of the ten year sentence.

"I've been reviewing your progress and you've come a long way." the doctor says, looking down at the clipboard.

Indeed, it's been a very long and tough six years for Jungkook. First was his physical recovery, which took a total of two full years, especially with his knees. He can now walk again and slightly jog, but he does experience some discomfort from time to time, but the doctors told him with enough exercise, it should go away.

As for his mental health, it took abit longer than anticipated.

Jungkook was left heavily traumatized, and even to this day, he still refuses to tell the police who was responsible for leaving him a broken mess.

Just thinking of the name alone gives him chills. So he tries to move on from that and think of anything else but the devil's name.

"Will there be anyone picking you up?" the doctor asks.

"Yes." Jungkook says, feeling his heart swell with a sense of happiness.

Taehyung has been an important factor in the six years Jungkook has been in the mental hospital. He completed his promise and visited Jungkook everyday, well almost everyday.

There was a point where he had stop coming to sort out some issues with Jin and Jimin, both who were strongly against Taehyung being with Jungkook again.

In the end, Taehyung wanted to be with Jungkook, resulting in a drift between his relationship with his brother and Jimin.

Jimin took it the hardest. He couldn't handle another heartbreak so he decided to leave Seoul and return to his hometown of Busan. Last Jungkook heard, Jimin was living a happy life with a new boyfriend.

But Jimin wasn't the only one with his happy ending.

Three years ago, Jin and Namjoon got married. It was a very small and private wedding. Taehyung wasn't invited, Jin didn't want to see him.

When Jungkook found out, he felt so bad for Taehyung, knowing he was the cause for the Kim brother's breakup.

He feels bad for what he did to them, and he will never forgive himself for that, or for the victims he killed.

But the dull ache on his knees and the mental trauma are a constant reminder to never fall back into that lifestyle again, and some part of him was glad Yoongi put him in his place.

"Alright Jungkook, just sign off on these papers and go back to your room for your belongings." The doctor holds out a clipboard with Jungkook's release papers. It was just mainly consent forms and such, plus Jungkook still has to follow up with court dates for his parole.

Once Jungkook has finished signing, he bids his goodbyes to the doctor and walks back to his room, where he finds Taehyung already waiting for him with opens arms.

"Hyung." Jungkook slides right into Taehyung's embrace, inhaling the other brunette's soft scent. This was the first time in six years he was able to actually hug someone. The times Taehyung would come to visit, they were sitting across a metal table with a guard watching over them.

"How do you feel?" Taehyung asks, and Jungkook answers that with a soft kiss to Taehyung's lips.

"Peace" he says, holding both Taehyung's hands. "I feel at peace."
