"I had been in contact with Namjoon for a while now."

Dawon tells her story of how she and Namjoon made an alliance a year ago, before he stepped down as Chief of police. She explains that after Hoseok was arrested and put away in a mental hospital, Namjoon pulled a few strings and gave her a new identity. She faked her death to her brother so he can help them deal with Jungkook, which worked at the time. But of course nobody anticipated that Jungkook would eventually escape the asylum.

Obviously she omits the part on helping Hoseok escape the mental hospital, a plan she and Yoongi had brewed together.

"Namjoon contacted me the night he was taken by Jungkook. It was before the masquerade ball. I heard about Jungkook's escape through the news and he filled me on the details." Dawon takes a moment and touches her stomach where Jungkook had stabbed her. The wounds are healed, with the pain no longer an issue, but the scars remain.

"How were you able to find his location?" Solar asks, leaning in closer to the table. Her hair is tied back, the dim lighting in the room reflects upon her tired apperance, eyes glossy and red from holding in her tears after receiving the tragic news.

"Namjoon's phone. I tried calling it, but it went straight to voicemail. So I tracked it and it lead me to that factory. By the time I arrived, Jungkook was already gone and the place was up in flames." Dawon rubs her left arm, breathing out a low hiss from a small burn she received while escaping the building with Namjoon.

"Are you injured?" Chief Kang asks, noticing her discomfort.

"I fine." Dawon mutters. It's just a small injury, nothing compared to what happened to Namjoon.

Oh god...Namjoon. Before the interrogation, Dawon was able to step aside for a moment and call Yoongi, relaying the bad news to him. She knows the news struck a chord with him, especially since they used to be partners.

Namjoon's death is spreading like wildfire all over the news, and she is pretty sure Jungkook has already heard about it too. Most likely he is celebrating over this loss, and is plotting to kill again.

"He is unstable and out for bloodlust. It's going to be nearly impossible to stop him, even with the police and the DEA looking for him." Dawon tells them, fist clenching tight, holding in the anger a pain that want to unleash itself.

"It's just one man against a whole city of cops. He's not gonna get too far." Solar states.

Dawon scoffs at that. The cops haven't proved to be useful, and she knows exactly what Jungkook is capable of because Hoseok taught him well.

Which is why she called Yoongi, because she knows they can stop Jungkook.

"Thank you Dawon for providing us with this information." Kang speaks up, stepping closer to the table. Dawon can see the bags in his eyes and the redness in them, he too is hurting from Namjoon's loss, everyone was.

They finish their session and release Dawon, finding no charges against her to have her arrested, not that they can anyways.

After that comes the hard part.

Why is it that whenever there is a funeral, it always fucking rains?

It's so cliché yet it sets the mood as the rain drops reflect the tears of those who are currently present during Namjoon's funeral.

The Chief of police is standing by the podium, making his long speech about Namjoon and his career as a police officer.

Alot of police officers there as well, all in uniform, silently mourning.

Taehyung is upfront, sitting in front of the closed casket, staring blankly at the photo of Namjoon smiling at them.
