'The monsoon season has finally fallen upon us and it's expected to be more than ten inches of rain fall tonight. Authorities are urging residents to stay indoors during-'

"Looks like we gotta close up early." The bartender mutters as he puts away the glasses and cleans up the counter. "Yezi, head on home. I'll take it from here." He speaks to his coworker Yezi.

Yezi replies with a nod, mostly focusing her attention to the last customer, a young man who had sauntered into the bar asking for a glass of water.

He came in drenched from the rain, wearing a worn grey hoodie, pajama pants, and a pair of flips flops. He has his hoodie pulled up, with his face hidden behind a curtain of chocolate brown hair.

The stranger spoke to no one when he entered, keeping to himself in the corner of the bar and aimlessly staring out the window.

"Yezi, tell that guy to leave. We are closing up." Her coworker orders.

Yezi scoffs at his command and goes over to the stranger's table, where she finds him staring out the window, the glass empty on the table. "Hey, the bar is closing. Time to leave." She tells him as she takes his empty glass.

He slowly turns to her, greeting her with a soft doe eye and a pout, his other eye hidden beneath that curtain of long brown hair. "But it says on the door that you close at eleven." His voice is soft and smooth, a little deeper than Yezi imagined.

She'd be lying to herself if she said she didn't find him attractive.

Putting those thoughts aside, Yezi clears her throat and nods in response. "True, but a monsoon is coming tonight so we gotta close up early."

The stranger nods, shifting his gaze back to the window, where the rain outside begins to pick up in speed.

"I...I can't go home." He says in the softest whisper, yet she hears him and frowns.

"Why not?" She asks, knowing she shouldn't be having a conversation when she was told to tell him to leave and nothing more.

He looks down to his trembling hands, then lets out a deep sigh before answering. "It's complicated."

Yezi silently nods with pity in her eyes. "I'm sorry, but you still have to go. We are closing now." It hurts her to see him frown, but its not like she can do much for him anyways.

The stranger nods and gets up from his seat, giving her a small smile and a thank you before leaving.

Yezi watches him from the window as he wraps his arms around himself and strolls through the rain, eventually disappearing within the night.

After closing up, Yezi makes the slow drive home in the rain. Her body is exhausted and all she wants to do is take a bath and lay down in her bed, maybe watch a few kdramas to fix her mood.

She comes up to a red light and waits for it to turn. As she does, something catches her attention from the corner of her eye.

Next to the stop light is a bus stop, and sitting there with his arms wrapped around his body, drenched and shivering from the rain, is the doe eyed stranger from the bar.

"Oh shit." Yezi sighs deeply, with guilt pressing against her thoughts, chastising her for not helping him earlier. She can simply ignore him and be on her way home, but it wouldn't sit right with her, especially with how sad he looked when she watched him leave into the rain.

Even though her gut was telling her no, her guilt ridden heart tells her to do the right thing and help him.

Yezi rolls down the window and honks her horn, catching his attention. "Hey, get inside." She leans over and opens the door for him.
