A/N SPOILER ALERT FOR THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

This is the first bits of text that Izzy and Clary share after Simon's memory loss in City of Heavenly Fire. Looking at it from Clary's phone.

Izzy: Hey

CF: Oh, hi.. You're not asleep yet?

Izzy: I can't sleep and I saw that you were online. You can't sleep either?

CF: No... It's too hard

Izzy: Simon?

CF: Yeah. What's up for you? Do you want me to wake Jace up or something?

Izzy: What? Why Jace?

CF: He's your brother?

Izzy: He can't help me

CF: Alec?

Izzy: No one except Simon can 

CF: You were serious about him?

Izzy: Why wouldn't I have been? I still am

CF: Jace said how you were with boys... Alec did as well.

Izzy: I was like that... After my dad cheated on my mum

CF: I'm sorry Izzy

Izzy: Don't be. It's not your fault... But after that I made it a promise to not give my heart away and Simon broke that. He made me break my promise

CF: He was never good with girls before you

Izzy: He wasn't exactly the best flirt I've seen but he had something in him

CF: He's Simon

Izzy: I loved him. I never loved anyone like I loved him.

CF: Izzy, I know I don't love him like you do but I miss him like you do

Izzy: I know. That's why I texted you. That's why Jace and Alec can't help.

CF: Sometimes I think he wasn't good with any mundane girls because he, like me, was maybe meant to come into the Shadow World and find you, Izzy. Like I found Jace.

Izzy: Maybe, but I've lost him now. I've lost myself as well. He was the only one who could see through me like Jace and Alec could. Until then it was only my brothers who knew me without even speaking to me. But Simon, he broke through all of that.

Izzy: Can you maybe tell me how he was when he was younger?

CF: Izzy, I'm sorry. It hurts me too, but he's not coming back. You need to forget.

Izzy: I can't, Clary. Everytime I try, everything just comes back harder. Would you ever be able to forget Jace?

CF: No... I can't forget Simon either but thinking about him hurts as much as trying to forget. I don't know what to do...

Izzy: Tell me about him. He's alive in both our hearts... This may help us both, Clary.

CF: He never got along with the boys... I never got along with the girls and when we found each other we clicked... We never had any arguments and even if we did, he'd buy me my favourite drinks to make up for it...

Izzy: Sounds like Simon

CF: Right?

CF: We'd do pretty much everything together and he was the best friend I could've ever asked for

Izzy: Best boyfriend I could've asked for 

Izzy: Did he have any girlfriends before you?

CF: No and I wouldn't even say I was his first girlfriend. That was you Izzy and it was always meant to be. I was just trying to forget Jace and I suppose he just thought wrong about what I was to him. But with you, he was sure, Izzy. He knew what he wanted you to be to him.

Izzy: Well screw that

CF: If you really love him, Izzy, don't lose hope. He may come back, your love may draw him back to you, Izzy

Izzy: It's not a fairytale, Clary. If it was Simon would still be here

CF: It's not a fairytale... But that doesn't mean love is any weaker

Izzy: I suppose all we can do is hope

CF: Yeah... He loves us, Izzy... He does and he will find us...

Izzy: He loves you

CF: And you. I can tell that he loves you enough to burn the world to get to you. He'll get to you, Izzy 

Izzy: And to you... We'll find him

CF: We will... If you need to talk more, I'm pretty much up all night

Izzy: Do you want to come to room now? Maybe talk some more?

CF: I'd love to. I'll be there in a minute

Izzy: See you x

CF: Xx
