You sit on your sofa with the note in your hands again. Spencer hadn't tried to contact you and you didn't expect him too. You pick up your coffee and take a sip, the hot liquid almost clears your brain fully until it's clouded with Spencer all over again. How was this fair?

The first thing you did when you got home was have a shower, you wanted to wash away all trace of Spencer and you scrubbed and scrubbed into your skin felt almost too clean, a little red but you felt free. You didn't know what to do now at all.

Your phone goes off with a loud ring, making you jump out of your skin. You see Hotch on the phone and inwardly groan. No. You really didn't need to go into the office hanging out of your ass while heartbroken too. Surely whatever God was up there wouldn't want to punish you that much?

"Hotch." You answer.

"Y/N. I take it you're not too hungover from last night?" Hotch asks, you wonder who told him you were out but then you remember putting the photo onto your Facebook.

"No Sir, why?"

"Strauss has scheduled another medical check up for you. In 3 hours time." He says, his voice is level. You glance at the clock in your room and realise it's already 11am. "She's asked that one of us accompany you."

"Who?" You ask, desperately hoping it isn't Spencer.

"Prentiss." As soon as he says it you sign a breath of relief, maybe today would be a better day. "She'll pick you up at 1, the appointment is at 2."

"Okay, thanks for letting me know Hotch.' You say while getting off the sofa to put a load of washing on, there was a pair of trousers you had wanted to wear and deep down you knew you couldn't just wallow in your own sadness forever, you wanted too but you had to get on with it. You had a job to go back too and needed to be on full form for it, anything less and it would be a disservice.

It's 12:45pm when Emily knocks on your door with what sounded like a very serious knock, you leap off of the sofa and go to open the door quickly only to be surprised by her giving you a hug and squeezing you tight.

"A hug? You been missing me Prentiss?" You tease as she lets you go so you can get your stuff together. You hear her sigh before she helps to pick up your bag.

"Yeah, god the office is so dull without you." She exclaims.

"Not happy with Morgan chatting your ear off all day?"

"No, not at all." She laughs as you both shut the door and walk down the path towards her car, you open the door to the passenger sit and get in. "He keeps talking about his 'honeys' you know?"

"I didn't but it sounds like a real treat." You buckle your self in as Emily pulls out of your street, it's still very cold but it's lovely, the afternoon sky is bright, sunny but with a few clouds spread across. You lose yourself in your thoughts before thinking that this was probably the perfect time to talk to Emily about Spencer.

You turn your head to look her, she catches your eyes and smiles slightly. She turns to look at you at a stop light when you decide that you needed to confide in someone, someone that knows Spencer.

"What is it? Come on." She asks softly, she carries on driving towards the private medical centre when you decide to just tell her.

"Em, the guy I was seeing dumped me." You say while looking out of the window at the sky. "He broke my heart." You whisper slowly.

"Oh Y/N, I'm so sorry. Do you want to talk about it?" She asks while pulling up at the centre. There is snow or frost on the floor and it looks beautiful. The sunlight bounces off of the frost which almost glitters when you look at it.
