"Are you alright?" Louis asks me from the drivers seat as we coast down the highway.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine why?" I ask him, I've been so lost in thought that I wasn't paying attention to much else.
"You just look tired." He answers simply.
After Harry left the hallway, I took a minute to catch my breath before going back outside, and he was already gone by the time I got out there.
My brain feels like it's can't comprehend that he kissed me. What does it mean? And why did he storm out like that and apologize? He knew I liked what he was doing since he was so insistent on hearing me say it, so why was he so freaked out?
Did I do something wrong? I can't help wondering it, but at the same time I didn't even do anything. He did.
As we pull into the driveway I reach into the backseat and grab my left overs, heading straight to the fridge once we get inside, to put them away. Louis walks in checking his fitness watch.
"It's only 8, but make sure to be ready later. Niall's coming at 10." He tells me and I nod, closing the fridge.
I go up to my room and get out of this suffocating outfit. I just want to put on pajama pants and go to bed, but I still have the whole night ahead of me. Instead of the aforementioned idea, I put on a tight, black, fake leather skirt and a black tank top for tonight.
I decide I won't be drinking until way later tonight, since I could use a break, and I actually want to remember at least one of these fight nights this break. Since it's only holiday break, there's only three fight nights, so it's a lot smaller than the summer. During the summer there's at least six, maybe eight.
I waste my time by cleaning up my room, and then attempting to read my book, and then giving up and turning on a movie. I only get a third of the way through it before Louis is knocking on my door asking if I'm ready.
I get up and slide on my black high top converse and grab Louis' black leather jacket, before heading downstairs. Louis is already in the car, so I close and lock the front door and head to the back seat of the car.
"Damn, Kota actually looks like a girl for once." Niall says, making eye contact with me through the rearview mirror. "Very sexy." Louis wacks the back of his head as I chuckle.
The drive is a different atmosphere this time around. The guys are more serious about their fights tonight, since it's more competitive.
We pull into the parking lot, get out, grab the backpack and head inside. I repeat everything as before; checking the guys in, copying the bracket on the same sheet of paper, bringing it to the guys, placing bets, and then getting to chill out. I get a shirley temple from the make shift concession stand where the smoothie bar usually is.
I sit alone on a stool at a hightop circular table in front of the boxing ring, sipping my shirley temple and checking my phone. The guys are all in the locker rooms and I decided to give them space, since they're more in their heads tonight. The second I feel a tall presence beside me and smell the familiar cologne, I cringe but don't look at him. I look down and see a pair of black boots, confirming my thought that it's Harry.
He waits a beat before speaking. "What? Are you ignoring me now." When I don't respond he takes the seat to my right at the table, pulling out a pocket knife and playing with it in his fingers. "About earlier... I shouldn't have done that."
"Then why did you?" I ask, keeping my eyes on my phone as I don't even really do anything on it. I just refuse to meet his eyes. I know that the instant I do, I'll regret it.
