ERIN

The Quinn's were the first of the bunch to arrive at the church, so Erin and Orla saved a pew in the back for the rest of the gang. Soon enough, James filed in, after Michelle and Clare.

"Hey motherfuckas!" Michelle whispered, and Clare slapped her.

"This is the HOUSE OF GOD!"  She snapped, getting on the kneeler. "Forgive me lord, for being friends with these eejits."

"Where's Fia?" Erin asked James, who shrugged.

"You should know- you were the one who walked in your pyjamas with her around the neighbourhood at 7 in the morning." Orla mumbled.

"What?" Michelle asked.

"Okay first of all- I put on trousers and a coat. Second of all- she looked so sad and tired- she said she was going for a walk and she needed to clear her head. Must've had a rough night again."

"What did you do Dicko?" Michelle said to James.

"What? Why me? Nothing!"

"She said she had a bad dream- I'm not sure. I saw her through my kitchen window walk into the street. So we went around the block."

James looked worried, but just as he turned to see if she was sitting anywhere else, the O'Donnells arrived through the doors. Erin saw Fia gesture towards the teens, saying something to her Aunt and Uncle, and she came walking over.

"Sorry I'm late. My uncle couldn't find his good tie."

She slipped in on the end of the pew beside James, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Michelle was about to say something, but kept hush.
Erin though, not quite pitying Fia yet because she didn't know the other half of Fia's story, made a gross face. "Boke." She mumbled. "You'll get like... rabies."

"Here's your jacket." She smiled. He took it gratefully.

"You okay, Fia?" James asked her, studying her face, which looked tired.

"Yeah. I'm good. I can't wait for the orientation." She smiled.

"Oh that's right- you two got a job!" Clare squealed. Hymn music began to play so they all stood up.

"Yep." Fia whispered, and opened the hymn book to the page the priest asked them to. She could hear Michelle flipping the pages obnoxiously beside James.
