I sigh and he hesitates. Jake looks like he wants to tell me something but he doesn't say anything. Then, a hear a crack from the top of the hill. Tiny rocks fall on the floor, touching my hands. Someone is up there.

I quickly stand up and look up. But I don't see anything. Jake then stands up but he doesn't run. I start to climb up the hill and he wants to but I stop him. I stare at his blue eyes, hoping he will stay. Jake walks a few steps back and I feel better. I start to climb the hill again and once I'm close to the top, I slowly look up. No one. I'm about to climb back down when I see a leg.

Oh no.

A hand touches mine and immediately wraps the fingers around my wrist. It's a guy with blonde hair, pale skin, and brown eyes. I've never seen him from our pack.

I try to break free but he has a good grip.

I then stop trying and he smirks. I then pull my wrist back as hard as I can and he flips back. His back slams against a tree and falls down. I jump off the hill and land on the floor.

"Jake run!" I yell. But I didn't have to tell him twice. He runs as fast as he can without hesitation. The guy is still alive, he's just groaning on the floor. I quickly get up and start to run. I follow Jake who runs really fast.

"Not so fast!" I hear the guy command and soon, he's following us, too. Jake isn't fast enough for him. The guy runs really fast, I think he's a full alpha. I swallow hard. He may be faster than me.

I don't know if he's trying to catch me or Jake, but I can't let him catch neither. I run and then realize there's a big tree that has fell and now is just laying there. Jake quickly climbs over it and I see him bang his knee on the tree but that doesn't stop him.

I jump high and land hard onto the floor. When I turn around to see if the guy is still following us, the guy then jumps high bit when he does, he turns into a wolf. He lands perfectly on the floor, his fur brown like dirt and he has yellow eyes that glow bright. My eyes widen. This can't end well.

The only way to save us is for me to turn into a wolf. But I don't want Jake to see me turn into a wolf. I don't want him to know more about my transformation. I don't want him to know anything about werewolves at all. But when I turn around to see Jake, he looks just as shocked as I do to see the stranger now turn into a big wolf.

"Run." I tell Jake and he stares at me like if he can't anymore or like he doesn't think he has a chance against him anymore. I can't really read his expression.

"Run!" I tell him louder and Jake gets startled. He starts to run again but slower this time.

I notice that his knee is bleeding. There's a big red stain on his jeans. Crap.

I start to run fast enough that I'm about his pace. I take a deep breath and the guy behind is jumps to catch me but I then transform into a wolf. I slide to the right and glance at Jake. He jumps on top of me and I use my werewolf speed. The guy falls and realizes that I'm running faster than him.

The guy quickly gets up though and starts to catch up. I look a head of me and see that there's pointy branches very close to the path. They're gonna scratch me. But I can't stop, he's right behind me. I go quickly and the branches scratch my fur. I hope Jake is okay.

But to make things worst, there was a cliff way ahead. I know there is. I quickly run hoping I can climb up the hill but the guy gets too close and scratches my tail. I turn around and Jake quickly hops off. I try to guard him and I quickly get mad.

I growl to tell him to back off but he just growls back. We both go in circles, watching our every move. I can't push him off because he'll probably take me with him when he falls. I look around to try to think of a plan.
