I wake up in Jake's bed. There's an ice pack on my head and I see Jake there. Cassidy is leaning on the door. She looks pretty beat up, too.
"What happened?" I ask and touch my forehead.
"Well, we kicked those werewolves' asses." Cassidy says.
"At least you did." I correct and sit straight. "Did you find out anything about them?"
"Yeah. They're gonna go run to their moms." Cassidy jokes and laughs. I roll my eyes and then remember about the visit earlier.
"Oh, speaking of moms, your mom is looking for you." I tell her.
"Really? Bye!" Cassidy runs out of the cabin.
"She does realize she can't leave the cabin all scratched up, right?" I say. Jake shrugs.
"Let her be." He shrugs. "So, how are you feeling?"
"Better. I guess." I tell him and take the ice pack off. Jake takes it and puts it in the sink.
"Thanks." I say.
"For putting the ice pack in the sink?" Jake asks and smiles. "No problem."
"No, I mean for everything. You helped me." I remind him and look at the floor.
"I told you, I don't want to hurt you." Jake reminds me after a long pause and I grin.
"I know that now." I tell him and start to walk to the exit when Jake grabs my arm and pulls me close to his body. He stares into my eyes and has his hands around my waist. He grabs my face slowly and then gently kisses me on the lips. His lips are soft.
I kiss him back gently. This feels right. And believe it or not, it actually made me relax. Suddenly the image of the my pack come in my head. I slowly pull away and he stares at me. Jake's hands are still around my waist and I take a deep breath.
"I'm sorry." Jake let's go of me and stares at me before he slowly walks over to the table. I feel bad and stop him.
"Jakes it's not your fault." I attempt to say again.
"Then...why did you pull away?" He asks.
"I...I just have a lot to deal with and I don't know if I have time for emotions." I explain badly. "I didn't really want to fill you up with it."
Jake raises an eyebrow. "It's okay." He assures me and sits down.
I want to say more but I decide it's best if I walk away. I slowly turn around and head toward the door. What just happened?

I start to walk down the hill and I slip, sliding down the hill. It didn't hurt, it was a little fun.
"There you are." A voice behind me says. Its Gus. What is he doing here? "What are you doing?"
"I'm, um, walking but I fell and I'm here now." I explain and he helps me up.
"Thanks." I mutter and he nods.
"Mike wanted you to come. We're having a discussion and he may have had an answer to our problems with the rouge." Gus explains. A solution? This better be good. We walk over to where we usually have meetings and realize all the pack is here. Mike comes over and calms everyone down.
"We haven't heard from the rouge which is a good sign. But just in case, I have finally found a solution to our problem." Mike announces. Everyone waits quietly for him to continue.
"Our sons are safe now that they're training is complete. But our daughters are not, they are not done with their training." Mike growls. "But I see that the only result to this problem is for the male werewolves to marry the female werewolves."
