"Thalia Abernathy to command please i repeat Thalia Abernathy to command" o robotic voice called ocer the speakers in the dining hall "I'll see you guys later" she got up and left her seat making her way over to the command centre "Ah Miss Abernathy we have some terrible news" Thalias smile faded "what happened" she sat on a chair at the large table "The capitol bombed district 3 only 2 survived" The words hit her like a ton of bricks "who survived" she looked up at the people in the room they all looked away "WHO SURVIVED" She slammed her hands down on the table "T-thalia?" She recognised the voice "Lila" she hugged the girl tightly, lila thought Thalia was her second mother Thalia loved the girl like a daughter "i still have your trident" she held up an auqa green trident "my family is dead Thals" lila started to cry "oh my darling come here" she lifted the girl up onto her lap and held her as she cried "don't worry I'm here your my family now" this calmed her down a little "She will stay with you in your chambers and she is your full responsibility" Coin said sitting down Thalia nodded "Sweetheart how about we go get some food" Lila nodded and jumped down "ummm where do i go?" Thalia chuckled and grabbed her hand. Sitting back down next to Effie at the table Thalia pulled Lila onto her lap and let her eat "Thalia" she looked at Gale who pointed to Lila "oh this is Lila shes now my daughter" Effies eyes lit up "not my biological daughter adopted shes one of the 2 survivors feom district 3" everyone looked down and played with their food "Momma I'm tired" Lila yawns and snuggles up in Thalia's chest "okay darling Katniss I'll see you soon" Thalia picks up Lila and carries her to her room "can you sing me to sleep?" Thalia smiled and pulled her closer so Lila's head rested on her chest drawing circles on her forehead and started singing to her but she didn't know Katniss and Haymitch were stood outside her room listening to the two girls
"We need to tell the districts that the Mockingjay and the Pheonix are alive" Thalia had left Lila with Mrs Everdeen and Prim while she attended this meeting "well heavy bombing was reported in district 8 we could send them both there" Plutarch suggested "No I can't guarantee their safety" Thalia spoke up "you can never guarantee our safety we want to go" Katniss nodded "and if one of you dies?" The girls looked at each other "Make sure you get it on camera" Katniss said and with that the Thalia left command to go change into her Pheonix suit "Momma where are you going?" Lila was sat on the bed playing with Prim "Momma is going away for a couple of hours so I want you to be a good girl and listen to Prim and Mrs Everdeen" Lila nodded and went back to playing with Prim Thalia nodded at Prim and smiled she grabbed her trident and made her way down to the hovercraft "you had all this and you left the districts to fend for themselves?" Boggs sighed "it's not like" they all continued to the hovercraft where Boggs introduced them both to a team of people who escaped the Capitol "Thalia, Katniss this is cressida one of the best people in the Capitol" Boggs pointed to a woman with half her head shaved and tattoos filling the shaved side "yeah until I up and left it's an honour to meet you both" she shook Thalia's hand as well Katniss' "this my assistant Messalla brothers castor and poullox" the girls shook each boys hand and recived a friendly nod from poullox "let's get going" Thalia nodded at Katniss "to district 8" she finished
