I stared at the lines formed in his forehead, as his bushy eyebrows become a bridge. My eyes suddenly drifted to his dry lips, I wanted to lick it. Oh my god! What am I thinking? That is so ew!

I blinked a couple of times to clear my weird thoughts.

"What are you doing here?" Gorio asked in a stern voice.

This wasn't the first time he used that tone to me, I have heard that hundredth of time since we were just kids so it didn't surprise me. His nose was fuming.

I jolted my hands and I successfully removed his strong grip in my wrist. His palm quickly created a spot in my skin.

"I'm joining the formation," I told him confidently.

I don't know where was my self esteem was coming from but I swear, I don't know how to be domineering even if I was in right. He was appalled by my reaction. He didn't expect it as well.

"What? You can't do that Kev. You just survived cancer 2 years ago and you think your body can endure this formation?" he snarled.

I was taken aback by his statement, I quickly masked my reaction.

"Right, that was two years ago. I'm healthier now, I can do this." My confidence was no longer gone and I was pleading.

"Did Tito Carl know about this?" he asked, confusion was written in all over his face.

I bowed my head, I couldn't look in his eyes.

"I'll call him then." I could hear the conviction in his voice.

My head quickly snapped when he turned his back on me. I grabbed his arm and he halted before he could leave. His eyes travelled to my face down to my hand touching his skin. This was the first time I got to touch him again after that confession happened in our house 3 months ago. I quickly removed my hands from his. I felt the cold engulfed my palm, losing the presence of his body.

"Gorio, I'm begging you, please," I could hear my voice shaking desperately. My hands were twisting under my stomach as I waited for his response.

I saw his eyes softened, he didn't say anything and walked away from me. He halted to the girl commanding us earlier and whispered in her ear. My body slouched when realization hit me, he must have informed her that I wasn't fit to be in the field.

"Hey, you!"

I raised my head and the girl commanding us was pointing her finger on me. I brought my hands to my chest, asking her if she was calling me.

"Yes, you're in Knot Tying. Proceed to your platoons now!" she yelled again.

I roamed my gaze but I failed to find him, I thought he was cancelling me.

"Moved!"

I jolted, everyone disassembled quickly. I should go now.

It took me 5 minutes before I saw my Platoon. It wasn't hard to look for them since every platoon has a flag, and the Knot Tying Platoon's logo was a knotted rope.

"Hi everyone!" I waved my right hand to the students sitting on the ground in front of me. "My name is Kevin Chato, I'm 18 years old and taking Bachelor's of Science in Psychology."

Since I was late, I was the last student to introduce myself. I couldn't help my lips to beam because I was overjoyed that I have my own platoon now.

"Your name is Kevin? Are you a boy? No offence intended," Sir Comamau asked.

He was our platoon leader by the way. I chuckled, he was not the first one who asked me that question. Since the first day of school, people often asked me that question, if I was a boy, girl, or even lesbian.
