I was walking down the hallway with Sam, well I was more with her than she was with me. She was on her phone, checking to see if she was tagged in anymore Insta posts, regarding the disgusting rumor about her. We turned a corner, walking towards her locker when I spotted Miguel waiting by a particular locker. We walked closer to her locker until we were stopped by Miguel. "Hey Sam." He said, dismissing the fact that I was standing right beside her.

"Hey." She said happily, looking up from her phone.

"I uh, didn't realize this was your locker." He tried to play it cool.

"Yup, that's me." She pointed with her phone towards her locker.

"And this is were I take my leave." I say taking a hint about where this conversation was headed.  I grab Sam's hand and give it a squeeze before bumping Miguel with my elbow as a good luck gesture.

I walked away, towards the library. When I reach my normal table I pull out my phone, scrolling through my conversations with Mr. LaRusso. Since he teaches me karate now, I thought it would be easier if I had his number. Our most recent one was when I asked him to give me Robby's number. I tapped his digits into my phone and started to type.

Hey, this is Lydia. You know, the girl that's learning karate with you.

Oh hey. How'd you get my number?

Mr. LaRusso gave it to me

Okay cool. Did you need something?

I just wanted to know if you maybe wanted to practice later?

Um, sure. When and where?

The beach? at 6 o'clock?

Sure, see you then.

I smiled to myself at the though of hanging out with Robby later, but my moment was all to soon interrupted when a voice brought me out of my bliss. "What are you smiling about?" Demetri asked as he pulled out a chair.

"Nothing." I replied, shutting my phone off and sliding it into my bag.

"Uhuh, sure." He retorted skeptically. "Anyway can we go over the AP English notes?" He grabbed his books out of the new black backpack I had gotten him.

"Sure."

I pulled into the parking lot

I pulled into the parking lot. I shut off the engine and hopped out. I unhooked my board from the top of my car, and carried it under my arm. I walked to the beach, setting my bag and surf board down on the sand. I kicked my shoes off, then peeled my shorts and white over sized tee off. I dug around in my gab until I found my black long sleeve rash guard. I slid in over my black halter bathing suit with daisy's on it and tugged it down over my stomach. So now I had a black top on and my black bottoms.

I tied my hair back in a high ponytail so it wouldn't be in my face while I surfed

I tied my hair back in a high ponytail so it wouldn't be in my face while I surfed. I picked up my phone, checking the time. I had two hours before Robby got here, so that meant to hours of practice. I hid my phone in my bag and grabbed my board, tucking it underneath my arm. I started to walk out into the water. The waves were a decent size. Smiling to myself, I continued to wade out further into the water. When I got knee deep, I hopped on my board and started to paddle out into the ocean.

I stopped once I got far enough, looking out for any good waves to catch.

Okay guys!! Fair warning, I know nothing about surfing. I tried to longboard once and I loved it, but I live in an area without the ocean, so I'm not able to do it more often. I absolutely love watching videos of people pulling off cool tricks and catching a good wave, I wish I could do it. Just a reminder. Lydia had been surfing for 11 years so she's gonna be pretty advanced. So I googled some cool, advanced tricks. And although I can't surf, I do have lots of experience with martial arts. I did Teak-won-do for 8 years and I was one belt away from my blackbelt before I had to quite do to it interfering with my other activities. So let me know in the comments if you surf or do any type of martial arts! Comment and vote!!

Thanks

-Daisy

(P.S. down below is one of the tricks she tries to do in the next chapter. Only watch the flip part or watch the whole video, I can't really control what you do.)
