I was sitting at the LaRusso kitchen table while Sam did her homework and I read twilight. Sam kept sneaking glances at her bag, when suddenly it started to ring. Sam glared at her mom. "God, I just love the internet." Anthony said, purposely trying to aggravate Sam. "There's so much to do." Sam's glare of horror transferred over to her younger sibling. "Chat with your friends, watch videos, shop online." He went on. I placed my book on the table upwards, looking at Anthony.
"Your going to hell, you know that right?" Sam remarked.
"All the coolest people go to hell." He said shrugging, his face reminding me of the devil when he shrugged.
"Guys quiet, I have a lot of work to do." Amanda interrupted their lovely conversation. Sam rolled her eyes and went back to work. Only, her phone started ringing again, causing her to look at it again.
"Come on mom, please just let me answer it." Sam begged.
Her mom looked at her and dropped her pen, she dug into the bag and pulled out Sam's phone. For a minute, I thought she was giving in. Instead, she hit the ignore button.
"Nice." Anthony said. I kicked him in the shin under the table. He looked at me smirking devilishly.
"Go back to work." Amanda uttered softly. Sam looked deflated.
"Ooh another friend request." Anthony said. I picked up my book and went back to reading.
After about twenty more minutes, I set my book down and scrolled through Insta. My eyes darting back to Sam's phone when it started going off like five times in a row. The doorbell rang, causing my eyes to move and look at the direction the noise was coming. "Ooh I bet that's the drone I bought from Amazon." Anthony said picking his iPad and going to get the door.
"You bought a drone!" Amanda got out of her seat and chased after him, leaving Sam and I alone in the kitchen. With her phone. As soon as the idea popped in my head, I waited for Amanda to be out of sight. When she was, I held my finger against my lips, telling Sam to be quiet. She understood and didn't say a word. I hopped out of my seat and jogged around the table to Sam's phone. I stuck my hand inside the bag and pulled out her cell. I quickly tossed it to her and she entered her passcode. She started typing away.
"Hurry up, they'll be back any minute!" I whisper yelled at her.
"Hey!" Amanda said, catching us in action. Sam looked up to see her mom approaching us fast, she shut it off and tossed it back to me. Quickly stuffing it in the bag, I turned around smiling. "So now you have a partner in crime? I have to watch you too?" She asked sternly.
"Sorry." I smirked, walking past her and out of the path of her fury. I went to stand by Sam.
"Hey, how's it going?" Robby asked smiling at Sam and I.
"I'm a prisoner. I've got to get out of here." She said walking away. Robby looked at me confused, I started to walk with Sam until he stopped me.
"Since Mr. Larusso isn't here yet, wanna go practice?" He asked, the back of his neck with one hand while the other held onto a duffle bag.
"I'm Sam's only entertainment right now, so." I laughed.
"Oh, go practice, I'm fine on my own." Sam yelled from the top of the stairs.
"Looks like your free." Robby joked, flashing my favorite smile.
"Looks like I am." We started walking towards the dojo.
I walked over to my phone, answering the call. "Where are you?" Demetri asked from the the other end.
"I'm somewhere." I joked, looking at Robby who was standing in front of me.
"Who is it?" Robby asked quietly.
"Friend from school." I answered.
"Who are you talking to?" Demetri said, it was hard to hear because of the loud blaring music in the background.
"Do you talk to this person at school?" Robby smiled.
"Ye-." Before I could finish Robby grabbed my phone out of my hand.
"She's needed else where." Robby said before he hung up my phone, cutting off Demetri.
"Robby!" I exclaimed.
"What? We were practicing, no distractions remember?"
"Mhm." I said smirking and walking backwards, away from my phone.
"So you know how Sam said she needed to escape?" He questioned walking towards me slowly.
I dropped to the floor, crossed legged and said. "I thought you said no distractions?" I hid the fact I was disappointed he was bringing up Sam while hanging out with me.
"Well I thought we could try and break her out for a bit." He ignored my last comment.
"What do you propose?"
"I don't know, that's why I'm asking you for your help now."
"What about, we tell Amanda we were sparing and you hurt your ankle, and you want to go home. And since I walked here, Sam will have to drive you, giving us time to get her out of the house for a bit." I smiled and he sat down in front of me, going through my proposal.
"How did you think of that that fast?" He looked taken aback.
"I'm a mischief mastermind." I said, giving a small giggle.
He laughed in return.
