THE NIGHT HAD ARRIVED AND SCOTT, AMELIA AND ISAAC WERE READY TO LEAVE.

But first, Amelia was trying to fix the Jeep.

"You sure you don't want—"

"Shut up," Amelia cut Scott off. "Give me the wrench."

Isaac frowned. "You know what a wrench is?"

"Isn't the thing that's used to clip paper together?" Asked Amelia, and Isaac and Scott looked at each other. "Guys, of course I know what a wrench is, give it to me."

Isaac nodded. "What number?"

Amelia thought about it for a few seconds. "The middle one..."

"Amelia, you have to be more—"

"I'll do it myself," muttered Amelia as she grabbed the wrench, proceeding to jump a bit, fixing the loosen nut. "There you go. Try it now."

Scott opened the door and turned the key, this one starting the engine.

Amelia raised her arms in victory. "Yes! Yes! I did it! I fixed it!" She gasped a bit. "Okay! Okay! Let's go!"

Isaac was quick to get in the backseat, trying not to be crushed by all the boxes while Scott got in the passenger seat.

Amelia quickly closed the hood before running towards the driver's seat, closing the door behind her and making something fall from the ceiling.

"What the..."

She looked at the paper on it.

Be gentle, Ames.

She chuckled a bit before placing it back on its place, looking at the passengers.

"Okay, we drop Isaac at the bus station so he can go do whatever is that he's doing."

"Backpacking," he remembered her and she nodded.

"Yeah, whatever. And then... UC Davies and Berkeley, baby!" She exclaimed with a smile. "We aren't forgetting anything, right?"

"No. Remember that we agreed on visits," recalled Scott and Amelia nodded. "You visit me, I visit you. Two weekends a month."

"I pick you up for Christmas, drive you to Beacon Hills."

"We spend spring break in Davies."

"Yeah," she agreed. "We got this."

The girl proceeded to turn the key. As the lights went on, the three got scared when they saw Lydia standing there, in front of the car, looking at them.

They all looked at Lydia, confused, as the girl stared at them.

"We can't leave."

She hit the wheel with her palms. "We were this close," she whispered before rolling down the window, looking at the girl. "Get in! Let's get Malia!"
