epilogue

"I think that's all of them," mentioned Amelia before turning around to see Stiles sleeping on her new dorm bed. "Stiles?"
But he was profoundly asleep.
"You have to be kidding me," she whispered just in time to receive a call. The girl quickly picked up, turning around to close the door of the dorm. "Yep?"
"Hey, Amy, it's me Allison." Amelia smiled.
"How are you doing Ally? How's Scott?"
"You know... treating cats and dogs at Davies." Amelia chuckled. "How's Stiles?"
The protector exhaled. "Asleep, as a matter of fact," she told her as she opened the boxes. "I can't wait to be home again."
Allison scoffed. "You're going to be a lawyer, that's awesome. Don't waste that. Hey, so I got news. About... other things."
"The things that I let Dahlia and you handle on your own so I won't get distracted from my studies at UC Berkeley Law?"
She had asked Dahlia and Allison politely to not call about Sealgair stuff while she's at college because she actually wanted to study and live like a normal person for at least a few months until Dahlia came running to her door.
"Amy, this is important," insisted Allison. "I think we found them."
Amelia frowned. "All of them?"
"All of your family," she kept going. "And... I think there's something different."
"Bad different or good different?" She asked, hopeful.
Allison exhaled. "Just different. You should come back."
Amelia clicked her tongue. "Are you sure you found them all?"
"A hundred percent."
Amelia stared at the boxes on her floor before exhaling again. "Alright... I'm on my way."
Amelia hung up the phone before placing it in her back pocket, walking towards Stiles and shaking him up a bit, making him wake up.
"We gotta get all this boxes to the Jeep," she told him with a tiny smile, making Stiles frown.
"What? But... you got a call, didn't you?" The girl nodded. "Ames... you didn't even make it to your first class."
She shrugged. "Duty calls. Let's get all this to the jeep again."
Stiles groaned lowly before standing up, walking towards the boxes. "I hate it here... I hate everything. I hate life. We should all be dead."
"Everyone will be dead if we don't get to Beacon Hills," talked Amelia as they walk through the hallway. "It was an important call."
"How important? There's levels of emergencies, you know? Sometimes, small emergencies don't need you to drive back to Beacon Hills. Sometimes... small emergencies can let your stay and study. Like you should be doing!"
Amelia sighed. "I can't stay and study," she told him. "Your girlfriend's gotta save the world."
Stiles raised his eyebrows. "In a way... lawyers can save the world." Amelia chuckled. "They are sometimes pain in the asses, but they can save the world. Just... make sure you get the bad guys in jail not out. The ones that let them out are kinda the opposite of saving the world."
"Stiles..."
"I'm not liking this lawyer idea too much right now..."
"Stiles," Amelia called him. "Stop talking. I'll be back next semester."
Stiles looked at her. "They're not gonna take you next semester. And, for all we know, next semester there could be a gigantic three headed dog tormenting Beacon Hills. Because there's a always something tormenting Beacon Hills. Just admit... you were looking for an excuse to get out of here. And you made me carry all those boxes for nothing."
Amelia looked at him, seriously. "That's not true," she argued. "If I see a three headed dog, I'd be running the other way. I am not ready for that."
Stiles chuckled a bit before placing a kiss on her cheek, making the girl smile.
They had to save the world.
That's what they do.
And she wouldn't trade it for anything.
