Chapter 4

Gabbys POV

"Happy birthday to you . Happy birthday dear Emery . Happy birthday to you !" We all sung to my beautiful happy baby girl . Emery just smiled and tried to reach out to the burning candle . I blew the one candle out for her and we applauded like she was the one to actually do it .

"Yayy !!" I laughed as I gave Emery nothing but kisses . "Are you gonna put her face in the cake ?" Jaron smiled as he leaned down and planted a kiss on Emery's cheek . "Um no . I don't want to put my baby girls face in the cake . It'll ruin her dress !" I laughed as I smoothed out her pink dress .

"Gabby baby this party is so adorable . I love it ." My mom cooed as she went to hand out slices of cake to our family members . "Why thank you mother . I didn't want anything too big . Just something with the family ." I looked around my spacious yard at my family that was spread out .

I was having a cookout pool party . My dad and uncles were grilling on the grill , my aunts supervised the food in the kitchen . Everyone brought their own dishes so we had food piled upon food . My little cousins were running around playing. I had a few moon bounces up so the kids could jump around in , and some played into the pool . It was very normal and private .

The only pictures that were being taken were by family members phones . I didn't have any media or anyone that was famous attend . Pattie called me and talked to me . Even though things with her son and myself are non-existent we still maintain a somewhat relationship . I loved how everything turned out . I wanted Emery to have a normal life as much as possible . I might not be able to give her everything in the world that's materialistic but I can give her a life with privacy and security as much as possible .

Justin didn't contact me after yesterday morning and I was thankful for that . It was just weird and awkward and uncomfortable being around him again and talking to him again after everything that happened .I know his intentions were good but it was just not a good idea for me .

After eating cake and opening what felt like a hundred presents the party came to an end . I tried to keep her awake as long as I could for Justin but she was just so tired . Her little body was all partied out even though it was only a little after two in the afternoon . I had her party early so Justin could have his party also durning daylight hours .

Some of my family stayed behind and helped clean up the backyard and around the house . I was cleaning the kitchen when the door bell rung . "Come in !!" I yelled as loud as I could . Hopefully whoever it was heard me .

"Wow sweetheart looks like you gotta hell of a mess to clean ." I knew who it was . I turned around and smiled at a very dressed up Justin. "Yeah I know . That's usually what happens when you have parties at your house ." I said continuing to put food away in the fridge . "Nobodys helping you ?" He asked leaning against the counter helping himself to some chip and dip .

"Yes. Everyones out back ." I nodded . Justin looked through the glass doors to get a better look. "Looks like you had a nice pool party today ." He noted . "Yeah . Princess loved it so much . We even got her in the pool a little bit ." I smiled remembering the fun my baby girl had today . "Where is she now ?"

"She's laying down sleeping .I tried to keep her up as long as possible but she was so tired ." I turned back around to face Justin to see that he was just standing there looking at me . "What ?" I looked down at myself to see if I had spilled anything on my all white long dress . "Nothing . You just look beautiful ." There he goes and there goes that smile . I shifted my eyes for a second . "Um, thanks . I really thought I'd mess this dress up with it being all white and everything ." I laughed .

"You were always the worst with wearing white. You either would have makeup on it or food !" He joined me in laughter . After 10sec of shared laughter i composed myself and started to go upstairs . "I should get Emery ." Justin just nodded and followed behind me . "Don't you think you should wait downstairs ?" I asked while i continued up the stairs praying he'd turn around .

"Naw thanks . " I could hear him smirk . Great I know he's looking at my ass . "Your right ." Justin laughed . My head snapped behind me to look at him . Damn i said that out loud ? I knew I was blushing but I didn't care . "And yes you said that out loud ." There was another smirk. "Go down stairs ." I mumbled . "Nope . We're up here already ."

I opened the light pink door that belonged to Emery . Her room was a light pink with white clouds painted on the walls . Her crib was white and had a vintage look to it as did the rest of the furniture . I walked over to her crib getting a good look at her . Each time I looked at her i fell in love. She's just so perfect . "Her room is adorable ." Justin said in awe as he looked around . "Thank you . I didn't want to over do it you know ?" I smiled in pride .

Justin's POV

I walked beside Gabby to look at our daughter . She couldn't be any more perfect than she already was . Her long eyelashes swept her cheeks and her nose was perfect just like mine .

"Princess ." Gabby cooed as she slowly and carefully lifted Emery from her crib . Emery started to stir in her arms until she finally opened her eyes . I seen that she going to burst into tears so I walked closer over to Gabby . "Hey now don't cry princess . Mommy sorry . I didn't want to wake you ." Gabby tried to comfort the now crying Emery .

"Awww Princess ." I cooed lightly wiping the little tears that streamed down her face . "Look baby daddy is here ." Gabby positioned Emery up so she could get a better look at me . I could see in her little hazel eyes that she was suddenly in amazement . The tears stopped and it was quiet . I looked at Gabby in confusion for a second . Emery looked up at Gabby than at me .

She reached her little hand out and lightly touched my face . The small act made both Gabby and I say "awww" . It melted my heart . "Yes baby it's really me . Happy birthday daddy's angel ." I laughed as I kissed her little hand . The kiss made her giggle . "Awww Princess im glad I could make you smile ." I cooed before giving her a kiss now on her lips . Emery leaned forward so she could kiss me back .

Both Gabby and I started to laugh . "Oh my gosh I never seen her do that ." Gabby grinned . "Really ? She gives me kisses all the time ." I smiled. I looked at Gabby who was staring at me . This was the first time i actually seen her look at me , I mean really look at me . We stared into one another's eyes . Her brown ones were trying to tell me something . I started searching for the answer but Gabby broke the contact and looked down at Emery . "Does mommy want a kiss too Emery ?" I whispered still looking at Gabby.

I heard Gabby's breath hitch as she looked back at me . I smiled . "Mommy do you want a kiss too ?" I asked her directly . She looked into my eyes than down at my lips than to my eyes than to Emery . "Cause I know daddy does ." I slowly started to lean towards her lips . Just when I was a second away from attaching our lips Gabby abruptly walked away and towards the dresser.

"Umm, you can keep this dress on her if you'd like . But I'll pack her some shorts and some leggings . I don't know how fancy this party is going to be but im sure worst come to worst you'll have an outfit there for her already ." Gabby rambled as she stuffed the diaper bag . I frowned as I watched her . She wanted that kiss . I know she did. Why would she move away like that ? That was the first time we actually had a moment . God I miss those lips .

"Well here you go ." Gabby plastered on a fake smile while handing me Emery. "Bye bye Princess . Mommy will see you on Monday night . Be good for daddy ." Gabby kissed Emery's forehead . "Okay that's everything . Now remember what I said Justin." I adjusted Emery on my hip . "Umm don't call you ?" I furrowed my eyebrows . "Yes that too. But no hoes ."

I rolled my eyes . "Really Gabby ? Hoes at my baby's birthday party ?" She just shrugged . "You love hoes . And that's fine but I don't want hoes around my daughter ." I groaned in annoyance . "You haven't told me this before so why now ? How do you know if I hadn't had hoes around her all the way til now ?" I challenged . Gabbys eyes widen in horror . "Im playing with you Gabby . God don't be stupid ." "Don't play with me Justin ." I rolled my eyes at her again . "Yeah yeah yeah bye ." I turned and walked out the room . God she's such a mood killer.
