The water fairy's eyes fluttered open when the harsh rays from the sunlight flooded in. Her head was pounding and she felt extremely dreary.
She looked over at her bedside table and read the glowing digits on her alarm clock, '8:39AM,' shit. She turned over towards her dorm room and saw a sleeping mound on the bed over in the corner. She also noticed that the shower was running in the bathroom. Blue slowly got up into a sitting position and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, "ahh" she exclaimed in pain. Her head was aching so bad from last night and she could feel the gruesome dryness of her throat.
"Look who decided to get up" Blue heard an irritating voice speak. She looked up from her lap and saw Hope standing in the doorway of the bathroom dripping wet in a towel. Blue was so focused on her discomfort that she hadn't noticed the shower turn off.
Blue's first lesson was at nine which Hope was supposed to be take her to. Which means she only had about ten minutes to get ready.
"You could have woken me up, you know." Blue said with a hint of anger. She was a bit annoyed that she didn't have more time to make herself look presentable, oh god, she was still in the clothes she was wearing last night.
"I was in the shower," Hope said like it was the most obvious thing in the world, "Its our first day back. I don't have time to sort your life out for you." Blue was too tired to argue back so she just rolled her eyes.
The small blue fairy hopped out of bed and looked over at Ivy, sleeping peacefully like a baby, whilst the feeling of envy washed over her all to be suddenly replaced with regret from last night.
The brunette hastily unclothed herself and walked over to her wardrobe in her pants and bra.
She picked out a small strappy white top and pulled it over her head. She was hasty, she didn't really know how much time she had. In the corner of her eye, Blue noticed Hope sitting at her vanity and blow drying her red hair with her palm; occasionally moving her hand above her large silver wings to make sure they were drying too.
Blue took out a short baby blue skirt with different layers of blue mesh laying over it, rimmed with lace, and slipped it over her bare legs. She put on an over-sized brown woollen jumper, it had light brown and baby pink rings along the elbows and detailed holes around the sleeves and the bottom of the material. The jumper was thin and shaggy, It looked sunny outside so she didn't want to overheat. As she put on the jumper she made sure to be cautious of her wings, folding them under the material so that they didn't show at all. She didn't need them, she couldn't fly.
Lastly, Blue kept her legs bare and put her socks on, followed by a pair of white leg warmers.
Once she was dressed she scurried over to her vanity and sat down. Ok. Her hair looked messy but fortunately it wasn't greasy since she showered yesterday morning. She grabbed a brush from the side and started combing through her brown locks. Afterwards, she ran to the bathroom where she could clean her teeth.
Facially, her mascara had moved from her eyelashes to her cheeks and her eyeliner had smudged everywhere. She felt a little embarrassed looking at herself -
did i look like this last night? What even happened last night?
She sighed and took a makeup wipe from the pack beside her.
"Hurry," the same demanding voice barked, "we have like two minutes, come on."
Now she was frantic, and cursed herself for not being more organised.Blue quickly rubbed all the makeup off her face. Having a cold wipe over her skin made her feel instantly more awake. There was still a thin print of black still lining the inside of her eye that she left there. She liked the look of second-day makeup and this meant that at least she could look a bit pretty.
