Learning To Fly

Soft moans slipped out of her mouth as she lay beneath him. Hair messy from the roughness of their movements. Tobias was all over her - touching and kissing everywhere he could in desperation. The feeling that erupted through his body caused him to growl lowly in her ear with each thrust. It felt as through reality had shifted and all he could feel was every pleasure that man or being had ever known. Without warning she flipped them over - grabbing him by the throat, "Tobi," Blue whispered beautifully, straddling and swaying her hips on top of him. Her voice was angelic and was far more pleasurable than the close proximity of their sweaty bodies.

"mhmm" Tobias blissfully hummed before his eyes fluttered shut.

"Follow the white horse."

The earth fairy's dreary eyes shot open and welcomed the morning sun.

And his morning glory.

He peered his head over to his roommates who were sound asleep, probably hung over from last night. He had time. This was the first night in months that he could actually catch a few hours of sleep, and he dreamt about Blue.

Tobias slid his hand over his body towards the tent that had formed in his sheets. Him and Blue spoke about twice and already he was thinking about her a little too much. She was beautiful and sweet about his garden, kindness he wasn't used to. He tried his best to sort himself out - using the fast fading memories he had from the dream. Latching onto any feeling he could recall. But he came to no prevail. He didn't have time for her.

He sat up, swinging his legs over to the side of the bed and got up. His mouth opened and a yawn quickly stretched its way through to the surface. On the window seal of the dorm room lay a lonely seed on a bed of soil, cupped beautifully by a small brown pot. Tobias walked over and hovered his hand over it. He wondered if maybe he could see what flower it was - just quickly before the others woke up. The natural growth of a plant was a constant reminder to him that time was real, and that it was fleeting; that the past and present are separate. When you live in a place like this for a while, walls start to talk. His roommates suspected it was the only thing keeping him sane. So there it sat; lonesome on the earth fairy's window seal, until it grew into whatever it was.

As he pondered about the tiny seed, in the corner of his eye he noticed a quick flash of magic, deep in the woods that his window over looked. The flash was quick and powerful, almost like a glass mirror harshly reflecting the sun. It was so sudden, he almost was convinced he had imagined it. But he hadn't.

Before Tobias had anytime to react, he heard Alex groan from his bed, rising with the day.

"Uh, morning" he sprang jumpily. Tobias watched him rub the sleep from his eyes and sit up on his bed, wondering whether or not to mention the flash to him. No...he would think Tobias had finally lost it. Maybe he had. Alex looked over at him and gave a lazy smile.

"Morning," He said, "get any sleep last night?"

"I did actually, more than usual recently." Tobias answered, "I think it was all the weed I smoked last night - completely wiped me out."

His awake roommate laughed softly from his bed, "That's good man, I'm glad."

Tobias smiled at his words and turned back to look out the window to see if there was anything still out there, and just as he thought, all he could see were treetops, for miles and miles. There was nothing that big that could have caused that much of a flash, and nothing that would flash, there were no light beings in those woods.

"Whatcha see?" A voice came from behind him. Alex was stood at Tobias' heels and looking over his shoulder to see what he was staring at. Tobias jumped again. "So jumpy today." Alex furrowed his eyebrows.
