Part 9: Prime's Death

Riley's POV

A really bad feeling came over me.

Me: ''Optimus...''

In his right mirror, I saw Megatron bursting out of the woods in giant tank mode.

Me: ''Look out!''

Just then Megatron shoots towards us.

Optimus: ''Hold on Riley!''

He changed into his robot form with me in his right hand. He ducks the shot but then Megatron changes into his robot form and spears us. He began to fight Optimus as we were rolling down the hill. Optimus was holding me up not letting Megatron close to me. Just then as Optimus rolled again, he placed the hand that was holding me on the ground and let go of me.

Optimus: ''Hide, Riley!''

I stood up and began to run, but Megatron saw me. He tried coming after me, but Optimus grabbed him and threw him on the ground. The grounds beneath me shook hard making me fall. But I stood up again and hid behind two threes that were together. I looked towards Optimus and Megatron. They were fighting like two titans. Optimus grabbed a tree that was behind him and threw it at Megatron.

Megatron: ''She will be mine.''

Optimus: ''Never.''

Optimus threw him to the ground. He changed his hand into a sword and stabbed Megatron in the back.

Megatron: ''She will be my queen! Decepticons!''

My eyes got big. There came Starscream and one more Decepticon. That was Megatron's plane. To get Optimus alone. I looked back and saw Starscream. His eyes meet mine.

Starscream: ''Come here beautiful.''

I turned around and began to run. Starscream began to run after me but Optimus shot him. Then Megatron began to run after me. But there came Optimus again and pinned him down. He was fighting both of them. Starscream tried to come after me but Optimus stopped him. The other Decepticon changed into his helicopter mood and began to shoot at me. I jumped out of the way.

Megatron: ''Don't shoot her she is the key!''

I began to run downhill while three Decepticons were trying to get me. Optimus jumped in front of them trying to stop them. I hide behind a fallen tree. Megatron kicked Optimus in the face and I saw a red Energon coming out of Optimus's mouth.

Me: ''Optimus!''

Starscream shot him in the stomach and Megatron shot him in the arm. Because the shot was so strong Optimus was sent flying.

Me: ''No.''

Some of his parts were flying everywhere. He hit the ground hard. I could feel his pain inside of me. He was hurt.

Megatron: ''She will help us, and our race will be safe.''

Optimus got up on his knee. He was struggling. 

Optimus: ''You will never have her.''

With that, he stood up and began to fight all three of them. He was cutting them with his sword. No matter how many times they tried to shoot him he ducks the shoot. Optimus jumped on the helicopter bot and with his sword, he cut Decepticon's head in half. He jumped down off the Decepticon that he killed and kicked the body away from him. But then he fell on his knees.

Optimus: ''Riley! Where are you?!''

I came out of my hiding spot and our eyes met. Then I saw a dark shadow behind Optimus. It was Megatron.

Me: ''Optimus look out!''

Before Optimus could turn around Megatron stabbed him and his sword came out of Optimus's chest.

Me: ''NO!''

Optimus yelled in pain. He tried to get the sword out of him but Megatron was too strong.

Megatron: ''You're weak.''

Said Megatron and shot Optimus in the wound. A scream came out of my mouth as the hands of my love let go of a sword. Megatron removed his sword and Optimus fell to the ground. Our eyes meet. 

A bright light came around me and my eyes closed. As I opened my eyes there I saw Optimus in his human form in front of me. I looked around and remembered this place. Behind Optimus was a bridge to the other side.

Me: ''No, no, no, it can't be.''

I said as the tears began to roll down my cheeks.

Optimus: ''I failed you, Riley.''

Me: ''No, no you didn't.''

Optimus: ''I should never bring you into this.''

Me: ''Don't say that.''

He grunts as he falls on his knees. I fell on my knees in front of him and placed my hands on his cheeks. He was in so much pain.

Me: ''Please don't leave me.''

Optimus: ''I'm sorry Riley.''

His left hand went true of my hair. Our eyes were locked on each other.

Optimus: ''My beautiful Riley.''

We placed our foreheads together. I could feel him dying.

Optimus: ''Don't let them win.''

Me: ''You can't leave me. Please.''

Optimus: ''Forgive me...I love you.''

Me: ''I love you too.''

The blue light came around him and he began to fate.

Me: ''No...no....no!''

Optimus: ''Riley...''

With that, he disappeared. I opened my eyes. 

Optimus: ''Run Riley....run.''

His eyes closed. His spark died and our bond broke in half. I was not able to feel him anymore.  I could not hear his spark beating. He was gone. I let out a scream as I fell to my knees. The ground beneath me shook.

Me: ''OPTIMUS!''

I was not able to move. My heart was hurting as it never did before. The only thing that I could do was cry.

Voice: ''Autobots, attack!''

Arms came around me as the bullets were flying above me.

Ironhide: ''Riley we have to go.''

Me: ''No I'm not leaving him!''

He began to lift me. I tried to resist him.

Me: ''Let me go! Ironhide! Please don't. We can't leave him!''

Ironhide: ''I'm sorry.''

He lifted me on my legs but just then a strong pain came from my chest making me lose control of my legs. Ironhide saw that something was wrong so he picked me up. 

Me: ''Iron....''

My eyes began to close. I looked to my right so I could see the love of my life left on the ground with his eyes closed. My eyes closed and the only thing I remember was Sam saying my name.
